Hey all, this is my first attempt at a radical list with nothing but DH units,my main opponent uses a pure nurgle deamon army, hes a very sporting player as he uses his deamons as deamons so most of my special rulesand wargear are not useless.
Inquistor thalios with annointe weapon, bolt pistol with psycannon bolts, artificer armour & icon of the just
grimoire of true names, sacred incense & meltabombs
destroy deamon & word of the emperor
3 acolytes with power weapons
2 combat servitors
extra armour& smoke launcher
3 death cult assassins
10 stormtroopers with vet sgt,mc thunderhammer, plasma pistol and meltabombs
chimera with multilaser,hunter killer,dozer blade,extra armour,smoke launcher
10 stormtroopers with vet sgt,mc power weapon, plasma pistol and meltabombs
2 plasma guns
chimera with heavy bolter,hull heavy bolter,dozer blade,extra armour,smoke launcher,psycannon bolts
2 grenade launchers
anyway sorry if my math is a bit out
the only thing im worried about is the lack of scoring units
anyhelp would be appeciated.
Geez, did you give your inquisitor Lord every piece of kit he could take?
Way too much stuff, cut back on his gear.
His retinue needs some cleaning up as well... not focused enough. Go for shooting or close combat.
Same thing goes for the Stormtroopers. Cut out on their gear and try to include another unit of them with all the points you save.
I'd drop the Death Cult Assassins.
Fantasy: Daemons (Angels), 40k: Black Templars
Yeah cut back on your gear and get Lance Orbital Strike, for the pure chaos of it... so to speak. It's only 2d6 scatter or direct hit now.
I'd actually keep the deathcults though, I believe they count as a single kill in annihilation and they are great for contesting in the other two 5th ed scenarios.
I Think that your lord will have a hard time winning the CC you seem to be orienting him toward. You may need to hold off on the acolytes with powerweapons since you are going to be fighting daemons.
The ISTs...I do love the unit but you have WAY too many points invested in T3 +4 armor troops. They'll likely die in CC before using their MC Thunder hammer. If you cut out the dross you can add another squad with Plasma or Grenades. Also, is it just me or does one of the Chimeras only have one gun. That may be risky (it can be blown off on a glancing hit) but if you do go with it give that squad two flamers and utilize their transports mobility. Most successful (take it as you will) list like this have almost six IST squads to atleast give them numbers.
