    1500p Salamanders (tournament)

    Hey guys and girls, I really need some advice on this list...
    I can't decide if I should leave out the predator and buy a droppod + extra armour for the dred, or that I should buff the Captain a bit more...

    The plan was: A nice shield with 5 tanks, and alot of Heavy Bolter fire... (maybe buying the sidesponses for the pred...) And backstab them with the drednought..

    But I was over the point limit

    So what do you think?

    extra armour to expensive...

    my only tip:
    Kick out all the extra armour, i think 15 points is far to expensive.
    then you will have 60 points left, then you buy no heavy bolters but 2 lascannon side sponsons for your predator to boost your long range anti-tank weaponry.
    or you buy the 2 side sponsons for 25 points and spend the remaining 35 points on some Space Marine toys! YAY!

    Haha....keep the extra armor. It's silly to think about taking a rhino or razorback transport without extra armor.

    really? at 15pts a pop i refuse to take extra armor on my transports anymore. Thats the lessen you have to learn just like chaos players did.

    by dropping the EA you make room for the side sponsons on that pred, id take the heavy bolters cause they are cheap. Take the remaining points to either get the drop pod for your dread as he will be all alone walking up the field lol or get plasma guns in your rhino squads, that way you have alot of fire power at 24" (though i realize salamanders should stock up on melta, its your call)

    Even at 15 points, being able to move a transport into cover after getting nailed is priceless. I still give it to all my transports.

    move 12" pop smoke, disembark if in danger or move then bail out behind the vehicle. A time tested tradition with dedicated transports that saves me points and usually works.

    But this is all a matter of opinion and play style, so its totally up to each player to decide whether or not theyll take EA, jsut know headhunter that you could make room for other things by dropping it.
