I posted a list a few weeks ago, have done some field testing and now have a new refined list. Some things that I "learned" or noticed with my old list, were that combi weapons are not really needed with the twin link'd ability of He'stan, also I'm not a huge fan of entirely drop pod armies. The strategy that I"ve adopted is make your biggest threats super mobile.... and with that said here's my newest salamanders list for the LO community to help me with...
Captain- Stormshield/TL-thunderhammer/artificer - 160
Command Squad- 4 TL-thunderhammers/4 Stormshields/4 TL-Flamers/ Drop Pod- 350
3x Tac Squad- Tl-Flamer/Power Wpn/ TL-Multimelta- 185 each
Ironclad Dred- TL-H.flamer/TL-H.flamer/Drop podw/locator becon-195
Ironclad Dred- TL-H.flamer/TL- Meltagun/Drop podw/locator becon-190
Landspeeder- TL H. Flamer- 50
Landspeeder- TL Multimelta- 60
44 models- 1750pts- 13 Kill points
The cost of the captain and the guard is insane, for the same cost you could place 2 !!! Assault terminators squads of 5 with Thunderhammer and storm shield and a librarian to comand 1 of them.
Equip your tactics with Meltagun and powerfist, your dont need the flamer as u got 8 bolters for mass killing. And you need the extra TK and MCK from the extra meltaand fist.
2 locator beacons is useless.
Speeders are nowerdays too expensive for assault cannon and too weak for close weapons imo.
Get some Heavy support, if you wanna keep it cheap in real money go for devastators.
Just my opinion.
