    2k points Shooty marines

    Let me know what you guys think. General tactic will be to use combat squads and limit any close combats to being short and with luck the enemy out in the open on my turn.

    HQ = Pedro Kantor = 175 points

    Elites = 10 Sternguard = 315 points
    - 3 w/ combi-melta
    - rhino w/ extra armor

    -Well, you have a good body count which I like.
    -10 scoring units assuming you Combat Squad everything which is very nice.
    -Plenty of mobility via transports which is nice.
    -Plenty of Anti-vehicle which is good.
    -Nice shooty army which I also like.

    -As for Combat squads, if you do use them, then I would recommend using Razorbacks instead.
    -I worry what you plan to do about 14armor vehicles, a nicely placed Rocket form the 8 MLs or a good shot from one of the 9 meltas will do the trick, but still something to think about.
    -I especially worry about units that can tie up the enemy. Although I love shooty, your army feels fragile with nothing but standard marines. What will you do against CC? AP2 and 3? Deepstrikes near or behind your shooty army?? etc? Some things to consider.

    Overall, not bad, but a list like this requires some luck. Especially if the enemy gets into CC with a CC based squad with some PWs and tears through pretty much everything...

    However, if you do manage to keep your space and make things all shooty, I think you'll do fine. My opinion.
