Ahoy hoy people. After playing Tau for over 2 years was kinda getting bored, so with the black reach box set i decided to have a go at a sallie army (been a fan of them since the 'geddon codex). Anyways the main problem is that I fielded the army below against one of my mates the other day (Orks) and after the 2nd turn he only had 8 models left. This easy win was mainly due to the Pods landing exactly on target. He's now refusing the play against this army, so I'm asking your advice on how to nerf it but keep the Salamander spirit.
Terminator Assault Squad
-TH & SS
-Land Raider Redeemer
i mean nice list against orkz and other mobz but what happens when you play someone with 2 monoliths and some destroyers... or LR's or LRC... or tank heavy gaurd?...
Ye it is a very very anit-horde list so maybe u should make it more balanced n less to play to your friends weakness's
But saying that i do like the army.
Normally I play vs. my friends who have (IG, SM, Eldar, Orks and Nids). Against armour i'd prolly make the ironclad's cheaper by replacing 1 HF with the melta instead. Though'd i'd agree that i'd have to have the luck of the dice gods to land within melta range of the enemy armour.
That said, I have played this list against a vanilla SM army and despite the lack of low AP weaponry it did rather well (as a long time player of tau, i normally stay clear of weapons unless they're AP 2 or 3)
Yes pip up the anti tank firepower by putting the meltagun back on both dreads and buying a multimelta for the LRR.
