I had put up a list earlier and everyone helped a lot and I tried the list and it did ok but it was not quite as much fun as I wanted. I decided to go a little more armor heavy and I was looking for some help. This will be 1000 points.
Space Marine Captian with Power sword 115 (Attach to Tac Squad)
Tac Squad (5), Flamer, Power Fist Mounted in Razorback 155
Tac Squad (10), Flamer, Missle Launcher Mounted in Rhino 205
Tac Squad (10), Flamer, Missle Launcher and power fist. Mounted in Rhino 230
Predator, Heavy Bolter Sponsons 85
What do you all think? 990 points! Comment away!

I like it, only one problem i see. Your tactical squad in the razorback cannot have a flamer because they do not number 10 models. Thems the new rules, 10 models gets you specail weapons. Less than 10 and no specials.
Also, you seem to have a lack of anti armour. No meltas, no lascannons? I would add about 2 in there somewhere. Otherwise a list just like this may be your doom. Upgrade the two flamers in the rhinos to meltas and should be fine.
And finally, take off those points for the whirlwind and vindicator. If they dont have upgrades, dont post the cost. We can all figure it out anyway.
Hope that helps!
So If I add the multimeltas I should have some good anti-tank. You think this would be a fun and resonable to play for a little while? I don't know how long it will take to paint a list this size and I wonder if I have enough troops.
Replace thee 5 man tac squad with a command squad then you can get a melta of flamer in that squad, unless you wanted that squad to count as scoring.
You can find anti armor weapons in a lot of places. I think the cheapest way in the new rule book is to take an attack bike with a multi melta. Other low cost options include land speeders, predators, dev squads, putting a laz on your razorback, or spliting up a tac squad with a laz cannon.
You have 3 squads of troops, and in a 1000 point game that is just about right imo.
Of course, while you don't have a really good anti tank option, your list is still fine for playing at around 1000 points. Some people bring a lot of armor, even at that level, but then some people don't bring any at all. The trick is to find a balance that works for you, and you do have 2 missile launchers, the demolisher cannon, and the power fist.
Any list can be fun, even if it doesn't have everything that people say you should take to tournaments. I have a friend that took half his point limit in one squad, lost every game, but had the time of his life.
Since you like the idea of tanks (I think you have 6 of them in your list) then go with that.
If you absolutely want a little more anti armor, then I would say take the tac squad that doesn't have the power fist, upgrade the missile launcher to a laz cannon (I think you have the extra points left over). Then wait till you know what your opponent is bringing. If they have a lot of heavy armor, split that squad up and leave the laz cannon back with your predator. If they don't, then don't split them up, and you have your full tac squad like you were planning.
Well this will be my first army. I am picking all of the guys up this week when I goto the shop on saturday and I will spend the week assembling them.
