Its just an idea i'm thinking of. The basic troop squads would stretch out providing a cover save meat shield. The lascannons should take care any tanks or monsterous creatures, HQ's and would probably clean up around 10 space marines a turn. The mortars would be my support against hordes and infantry, not needing line of sight means they can pummel the infantry as the hide in objectives or behind terrain, and the pinning should slow down any advance on my line. Although the list is rather slim on men but hopefully good cover will make up for that. So what do you think?

A nice and interesting list. I am seeing the empty platoon squad theme a lot more these days or squads with just special wepaons. perhaps you coudl drop one mortar squad and sprinkle a few special wepaons over these guys and maybe a remnant squad, that way you can take objectives with a little more ease.

    Hope that helps

If I remember correctly Heavy Weapons platoons need a command squad like infantry ones. So you'd need a JO + Staff for all of them. I may be wrong...

Good point ernie post has been edited to correct this, I dont know what to do about the troops they dont really "fit in" with the concept but maybe they can be a distraction. Weapon count if fun Mortars 21, Lascannons 18 Muhaha *evil giggles* I wanna try it out. I think my opponent may kill me after i've resolved 21 scatter die lol

You have 10 men that can claim objectives. These men are not hard for your opponent to kill, especially when they need to walk across the board. You are just about guarinteed to lose 2/3 games you play.
