Welcome to Librarium Online!
This is my 2,000-point list that I'm currently assembling and painting. My local stores (yes, there are two. Blessed am I!) don't usually play tournaments, or even friendly games that big all the time. I'd like to cull it back to, say, 1,850 or (gasp!) 1,750 points, but I'm not sure how, since I like all the units as is.
Chapter Master with thunder hammer, storm shield, artificer armour -- 185
Chaplain with jump pack -- 115
TOTAL HQ: 300 points
Standard Dreadnought in drop pod -- 140
TOTAL ELITES: 140 points
Tactical Squad x10 with flamer, powerfisted sgt., missile launcher -- 195
Tactical Squad x10 with flamer, powerfisted sgt., lascanno -- 205
Scouts x5, snipers -- 75
TOTAL TROOPS: 475 points
Assault Marines x10 with 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sgt. -- 245
Vanguard Veterans x8 with two power weapons, light. claws on sgt. -- 230
TOTAL FAST ATTACK: 475 points
Land Raider Redeemer with extra armour, multi-melta -- 265
Devastator Squad x10, four missile launchers -- 230
TOTAL HEAVY SUPPORT: 495
Razorback -- 40
Razorback with lascannon -- 75
TOTAL TRANSPORTS: 115
ARMY TOTAL: 2,000 points even
Hmm...these are always tough decisions. Probably the best thing you can do for yourself is to start a list over from scratch and make a 1750 that way. I find it harder to take away rather than to rebuild. In the smaller army your are going to want mobility mostly...so I'd suggest dropping the scouts, downgrading a couple power fists...not too many though i see how much you like your S8 Also lowering the amount of veterans would lower your cost a decent amount.
However the best thing you can do for a 1750 without hurting your list TOO MUCH...would be to drop the land raider. I know it'll hurt a bit, but if you have a rhino to swap out with it that's 230 points off your list. Then drop 1 Vanguard and you have a 1750 point army. Still has decent mobility, has all of it's firepower maintained, matinins most of it's assault power, you'd just have to be more careful with the rhino. The 1850 is up to you i guess, again the best thing to do is to build it from scratch to maintain a good building block set of lists where you have a good balanced 1750, then add on something for 1850, same for 2000. Simplicity is always a good thing ^^ Well then, good luck, that's my two cents.

I'm guessing the vanguard with the Master go in the LRR while the chap sticks with te assault marines?
and isnt a plain razor tad more expensive? (avoiding a points cost) im at work and dont have my codex with me.
Easiest answer to drop it to (almost 1850) would be to drop the dread in the pod cause you appear to still have plenty of anti-tank.
but for 1750, I cant really suggest.

I have sadly passed that line o.0?
Just cutting out the Chapter Master would be the most straight-forward way to drop the point total. Its only one model, so its not a significant reduction in your army's abilities. Sucks to lose the orbital bombardment, but I think you could manage. On an aside, I'm kinda curious why you have your CM running around with a thunder hammer. Seems a waste of his initiative, when you could run with a relic blade and still have str 6 and strike fast and early. More often than not, the relic blade is sufficient for the stuff he's going to be fighting.
And your list is rather light on Troop choices. 2 full strength and 1 half strength unit in a 2K points list? Not even 25% of your army in Troops?
Final aside, I gotta admit, I like the Vanguard Vets riding around in a Land Raider though. I really dislike Vanguard because they cost so much, but in a situation where you can afford to mount them in a Land Raider, they become worthwhile. Only 2 pts more than regular Assault Marines, for an extra attack and additional weapon options!

one way u could drop close to 1850 is downgrade the master to a captain and lose the razorbacks and also down the plasma pistols in the assault squad to flamers.
