    Raven Guard 1500

    Hello,
I've been thinking about what to use in a Raven Guard army and settled on two lists, both 1500. The first is competitive, and the second is friendly.
For the second list, I'd prefer mostly ideas about how it will fare rather than advice for changes.

    1st List

    Shrike: 195
    (joins an assault squad)

    Tactical Squad x10: 235
    -melta gun
    -multi melta
    -power fist
    Drop Pod

    Tactical Squad x10: 230
    -melta gun
    -multi melta
    -power weapon and melta bombs
    Drop Pod

    Sniper Scouts x10: 180
    -9 combat blades
    -shotgun and power fist

    Sniper Scouts x5: 100
    heavy bolter
    camo cloaks

    Assault Squad x10: 235
lightning claw pair and melta bombs
    flamer

    Assault Squad x10: 225
    power fist
    flamer

    Attack Bikes x2: 100
    multi meltas

    General strategy:
Assault Squads will move into the enemy's flanks, one on each side.
Scouts stay back to hold objectives and provide fire support.
Tacticals go for rear vehicle armor and tough units; whatever is priority.
The Attack Bikes provide additional anti tank.

    2nd list
Sort of like the above, with these changes:
    -Drop the second Scout squad.
-One Assault squad gains power fist and a second flamer.
-Replace the other Assault squad with a 5-man unit of Shrike's Wing (Vanguard with jump packs and twin lightning claws). Shrike will join this unit most of the time.

    HQ: Good.

Troops: Tac squads are fine. 5 man snipers are too but put the heavy bolter in with them. The 10 man scouts would be better replaced by 9 with BP & CCW and 1 with shotgun and PF. These can infiltrate, scout move then fleet into combat on turn one. If you go first they cannot be shot at before hitting the enemy unit (usually of your choice).

Fast: Assault squads are both good but perhapse powerfists instead on at least one of them. Bikes are great.

Sounds good. List has been edited.
By the way, I forgot to add the details for the second list earlier; they're there now.

    Thanks for the feedback

The list appears to be quite solid, though I'm not such a huge fan of the Attack Bikes, personally. One thing I had thought of earlier when I read the list was to swap out the one 10-man Scout squad for another 5-man Sniper squad, and give them both Missile Launchers instead of Heavy Bolters (my personal preference is the ML). Then drop the Attack Bikes, and add in a Dreadnought with a Heavy Flamer, weapon-of-choice (Assault Cannon or Multi Melta) and a Drop Pod.

But, that's just me. The list is solid as is!

Also, feel free to check out the Sons of Deliverance clan thread here on LO. We're a group dedicated to Raven Guard and her successors, both canon and DIY, and any Shadow Captain is free to join!
