Chaplin with jump pack (attached to assault marine squad)
10 marines (tactical squad - one with missile launcher)
5 marines (combat squad)
5 assault marines
I think I'm going to make my army more assault based rather than shooting. So I was thinking maybe I should go Blood angel to take assault marines as troop choices. Also, later on, when I move on to larger battles I might get a squad of assault terminators + a terminator chaplain to form a command squad. Is this a good idea?
If thats how you want to play your army, then sure.
Nights Justice Space Marines
Eldar Eth Kariel Craftworld
Spear of Kurnous - High Elf Expeditionary Army
You need more troops.
Pretty balanced little start there, I like it, sure if you want to play BA go for it, there is nothing wrong with them at all, for the next thing on your list I would add a razorback tank for small games, its quite an invaluable tank, then another tactical squad or scout squad to buff up your troop choices, making sure to give the serg's at least power weapons.... Nice start though, keep at it!
Move forward and stay quiet brothers.
Check out my half finished blog here.
Always have problems with calling Razorback a "tank" but that is just the memory of 4ed perhaps? Anyhow, what points are you looking at? What about special weapons? Or are we just talking about what general squads to use? If so, your combo seems reasonable, but I would look into a Commander as opposed to Chappy. He is nice, but I think that you want 10 Assault guys to jet around with him to maximize his special abilities... See what would you need to spend to get a nice jet Commander in your force and perhaps save Chappy for a 1K list?
