Marneus Calgar with Armour of Antilochus 265
2 Dreadnoughts with Drop Pods and Heavy Flamers 300
2 Tactical Squads with PW and ML and Plasma one with Drop Pod w Locator Beacon 435
2 Tactical Squads with PF and ML and Flamer and two Rhinos 460
2 Landspeeders with Heavy Flamers and Multi-meltas 140
2 Vindicators with Siege Shields 250
Tactics are to drop the locator beacon squad near the enemy's flank supported by 1 Dread on turn one and dish out some heat. The locator beacon then calls in the other Dread and Speeders to dish out some more love to tanks or troops as required. This should provide a distraction from the Vindicators and Calgar's orbital bombardment introducing the remaining enemy to the joys of the stone age, to quote Curtis Le May. Vindicators press down the centre with Calgar and other troops use mobility of Rhinos to defend or attack as required. Foot slogging squad works with Calgar.
Would love to fit in a Librarian to go in the first drop pod with the AP3 template spell. Maybe lose a squad in a Rhino and replace with Tigurius. He could do some real damage that close to the enemy.

but current tournement point level in the us is 1750 and across the pond the play 1500. If your scene is 1850 rock on. Any way I think your on the right track but need a counter assult element. Something that can sting or tip a close combat in your favor. Maybe a 6 man assault squad or evn some scouts. as far as drop pods go i have heard they are good in even numbers but anyway who sists on the bench turn 1l
Have used the list a couple of times drawing with Mech Eldar, the kind that waits in reserve and then flies on and kills stuff, and murdering a Chaos list with 2 Demons, 2 Raiders and 20 Bezerkers.
I am strong on medium range killing and need to stay concentrated to maximise the shooting at anything better at assaulting than me. I prefer to use Calgar to counter assault if I have too as I'd really rather be shooting down anything that gets into combat. I can always use the ability fail morale tests to give me the best chance of roasting any assault units that get into combat. Haven't faced another shooting force yet e.g. Guard or Tau. If I do I'll have to get in close and use the Drop Pod Dreads and Flamers to roast them.
