    1500 Salamander

    This is a 1500 points Salamander army based on speed, with balance between antitank and anti infantry with still the added anti monstrous creature punch thanks to the TH|SS terminators. I am having trouble decidng between two heavy bolters on the landspeeders or going with heavy flamers.

    Vulkan He'Stan 190

    Elites

    5 Assault Terminators with TH|SS 200

    Troops

    10 Marines with Flamer, Missle Launcher, sergeant with power fist
    Razorback with Heavy Bolter 235

    10 Marines with Flamer, Missle Launcher, sergeant with power fist
    Razorback with Heavy Bolter 235

    10 Marines with Flamer and Missle Launcher 170

    Fast Attack

    3 Attack Bikes with Multimeltas 150

    3 Attack Bikes with Multimeltas 150

    3 Landspeeder Tornado with two heavy bolters 180

    Total 1500

    Given that most of my punch is in the fast attack slot, which variant of landspeeder would be the best?

    best squad to run with Vulkan imo, looks ok.

    If these are set to be your mobile squads, i would consider maybe giving one of them the MM treatment instead and giving them a rhino instead of a razor so they can all move together. Otherwise in a objective mission, your only scoring units able to make it far are 5 man, which is no good.

    good squad for support, maybe given em a plasma gun instead of that flamer

    Twin-Linked MM's with speed are dangerous, and 3 of them are even better. I like these options, and the 2 squads of them provide you some serious TankHunting capabilities

    As for your question, I would if you can provide them with a heavy flamer just incase. You never know, you might be firing at some dudes in cover and if you aren't playing marine based armies, the HeavyFlamer can be devastating to horde armies+ twin-linked. Find a way.

    So i notice your 10 points over already, and I suggested a few more upgrades so you'll have a figure a way to get some of those points in there. Consider dropping 1 LandSpeeder to provide the points.

    thankyou for the feedback, the idea for the razorbacks was for some antitank and some movement...but i agree with the fragility inherent in combat squads and i may just use them as rhino, although it is at the cost of those HB's.

    In regard to the landspeeders, i was pondering on either giving them all Heavy flamers, this would give me 6 templates...although the diversity of HB and HF is useful...i doubt they would hit as hard as if they were specialised.

    I think you added the points for those incorrectly, they are actually 235 per squad, so you actually sit at 1500 dead even
