Hi brothers Inquisitors!
I'm back in 40k universe after a year gap! I've been playing DH for a while (but not regularly though), but i'm just discovering 5th ed.
Few days ago i've been on FW website, and i've been amazed by the DH LR Redeemer!... As it seem that the LR are much more viable, i couldn't help myself and ordered one (aswell as Inquisitor Hector Rex)!
Now i'm trying to figure how to make a descent water warrior list out of what i've got!
So here is the result :
- GM (Psycanon, Sacred Insense, Mastercrafted NFW, Icone of the Just),
- & his retinue of 4GKT (3 w/ NFW & SB ; 1 w/ TH & SS)
- IL (Psycanon, Null Rod, Auspex, Targeter, Psychic Hood),
- & his retinue (1PC servitor, 1mystic, 2sages, 1hierophant, 3acolytes w/bolter & carapace armour)
- GKLRC (Extra Armour, Smoke Launcher, Psybolts)
- GKDread (DCCW, TLLC,vEA, SL, Incinerator)
- GKLRR (EA, SL)

Don't know where to find the rule and point cost (i think its diferent from the SM ones, because of the TLPsycanons... Probably found in the next IA. I hope the flamestorm canon came with holy prometheum!!!)
another question for those of you who know the SM redeemer : does the flamestorn canon work like the old inferno canon (range + template) or like a template weapon?
- 1 Justicar (frag),
- 7 GK (2Incinerators).
- 1 Justicar (frag, MB, Auspex, Targeter),
- 9 GK
8 STormies (1PG, 1MG)
What do you think?
-keep or not the dread?
-take a LR instead of LRC (i could do both LR/LRC as i haven't fixed the weaponenry)
All adviced welcome! Just keep in mind that i want to play with my new LRR (as soon as painted), so i feel i need 2 LR (maybe i'm wrong... so correct me with some explanation!)
thanks in advance!
OK guys, not many of you may have a huge experience of 5ed, but still, 40ish readers and not a single advice...
Is my list that perfect? I mean it's not the only forum I ask for advice... same result!
I use to play with many more IST, PAGK, and Elite INQ with retinue (that I've sold... needing fast cash), and almost no tank/dread...
I've just ordered 1 GKLR Redeemer & 1 GK Dread from FW, and I've got 1LR/LRC left from before + a few GKT (5), PAGK (5) & 1IL squad left (10 models) :
I REALLY NEED YOUR ADVICE, regarding what to buy in order to have a fun, but still competitive army in this new edition...
PS : I think i'll take a LR helios instead of the LRC (at the moment Euro is "strong" compare to pound, wich make FW a real bargain : 1 LR or LRC/R in Euro coutry = 50E, in pound =34.25 to 39.15 for FW one's - at he moment 1L=1E...)

Thanks for your reply jy2
Sorry, i've been long to answer... i've bee busy rethinking the list.
It will now include 3 FW tank :
- 1GK Dread,
- 1GK LR Redeemer,
- & 1 LR Helios!
I don't play in tournament... so it sould be alright to use them. in the worst case the Redeemer could easily count as LRC, and i could switch the armement on the Helios to transform it in regular LR.
My new list lose some PAGK, gain some IST & Seraphim.
I intend to play a refused flank, shooting for as long as possible, and assaulting at the last moment.
Exept for my 10 PAGK unit, all my units are pretty small, so i should play as much as possible with the landscape and my Lrs to reduce line of sight as much as possible, and still keep some decent target for them to shoot at.
- GM (Psycanon, Mastercrafted NFW, Icone of the Just),
- & his retinue of 4GKT (2 w/ NFW & SB , 1 w/ TH & SS, 1 Psycanon/NFW)
Will be deployed centraly. They will make good use of shrouding/psycanon, support my lines, and footslog in the late turn to take objetives/deny them to my opponent.
- IL (Psycanon, Auspex, Targeter, Psychic Hood),
- & his retinue (1PC servitor, 1HB servitor, 1 mystic, 2 sages, 1 hierophant, 1 acolytes w/bolter & carapace armour)
Sit on an objective, and create havoc on the opponent
- 1 Justicar (frag, Auspex, Targeter), & 9 GK (1 Incinerator).
Ride in the Redeemer. Are in charge of blocking a side of the board. Incinerator is there for good use after tankshock.
-6 IST (2PG)
-6 IST (2F)
Any of this 2 IST squads could ride/hide in the Helios (transport capacity = 6) depending on the type of oponent (MEQ or Hordes), While the 2nd one will stick with the IL & retinue to support them.
-6 IST (2GL)
Footslog with the GM & retinue. I hope that my opponent try to aim at my GM, and wont succeed... missing an opportunity to kil my IST. On an other hand, i will use the targeter of the IST to know the distance between my GM and the nearest targets, keeping him around 33 to 36 inch as long as possible.
Fast Attack :
- 1 VSS (MB, PW, BoStL),
- 4 Seraphim (4MB, 2 Twin-Pistol-Flamers).
Could either go tank hunting (5MB – should be ok for all tank exept walkers and monolith) or go after unit (2*2HF) in support of my 10PAGK.
- GK LR Helios (Extra Armour)
Should be deployed on the same side as the IL. Main rôle is tank hunting, and late objective contrôle (by transporting 1 IST squad to take contrôle or deny it). Second use is bonbarding 1 or 2 opponent objectives with castelan misile, using POTM to shoot at a different target than the LC.
- GK Dread (DCCW, TLLC, EA, SL, Incinerator)
Main use is tank hunting. I keep the DCCW because it look so cool on the mini (FW GKDread...), could be of good use against monolith, or T5 creature though.
- GK LR Redeemer (EA, SL)
Dread, Redeemer, and PAGK will be on the same flank, with the seraphim supporting them.
-4 Troops (oops!),
-2 Tanks & 1 Walker,
-1 faith point,
What do you think?
