Khan goes in LRR with lc terms and the 2 rhinos and LRR outflank
you're probably going to get shopt to peices. But if you manage to make it their you're pretty golden. Albeit there are armiesw that could out cc you, but you have a pretty good army there. As I said the only downside is you have very little men to spare. A few units die to shooting and you are fairly sunk. And and you'll have a hell of a time capturing abjectives.
May the Emperor forgive you, for his servants cannot.
i feel that with outflank i could get there and with combat sqaud have an easier time getting objectives but yes a few causalties would def hurt. thanks for the advice
Get rid of the Dread and take some Bikers for maneuverability. A clever opponent'll just avoid the nasty bits of your army, as there's too few bodies to cover much of the battlefield.
My main issues with this army contruction are:
1) lack of mobility
2) lack of bodies for durability
3) limited anti tank capability
You have 2 scoring units, and only one appears to have a transport. Using outflank has a one in three chance of leaving you scattered at odd ends of the table. A fast army can pick you apart piecemeal. This could hurt a lot in an annihilation scenario.
You will only have 37 models on the table, which in my opinion is difficult to aborb fire with in a 2000 point game (my 1750 marine list has 45 models exclusive of transports), especially if you are planning to use Khan's outflank ability. I am of the opinion that Khan is not getting the full value of his point cost without a bike squad to take full advantage of his special rules and enhanced mobility.
This list has precious little shooting power for it's point value, and with only 1 2/6 chance and 3 1/6 chances to glance AV 14 and most at very close range, mechanized guard, and Tau can do very bad things to you. Swarm armies like orks and 'nids will also be challenging.
Criticism aside, if you get into close combat you should acquit yourself well. the trick will be getting close intact, and in sufficient numbers to put down the righteous smack.
I offer that including IST to increase bodycount is something to consider. possibly at the expense of the dev squad or one unit of CC terminators. Cheap troops in large numbers with access to AT gear, and cheap transports would give your opponent something else to shoot at. They can also serve as objective holders.
In any event good hunting
I LOVE the smell of promethium in the morning!
