In a 1000 point game, the deathwind launcher is not your friend. For the fewer oints, you could use locator beacons, and use them to deep strike your land speeders reliably close to the drop pods. Given the short range weapons they are packing, this might be a good idea.

You may want to think about how you want to play this army. Drop pods are good for getting somewhere fast. You are also packing a fair bit of long range templates. Whirlwinds are good for standoff weapons while the Vindicator is more of a close support platform. Focusing on a stand off or an agressive advance strategy may be beneficial, especially at this point level. If you want to favor the stand off posture, you might consider swapping the drop pods out for rhinos. If you want a rapid strike force, you might consider swapping the whirlwinds out for another tank type or more troops.
I LOVE the smell of promethium in the morning!
