    White Scars, 2k

Well, I got my hands on a Space Marine codex, and I thought I'd write a 2000pt White Scars list, mostly because they're radically different in playstyle from my Guard (They're also one of my 3 favorite chapters)

    HQ - 390 points

    Kor'sarro Khan
    + Moondrakkan

    Librarian
    +Epistolary
    +Bike
    +Bolt Pistol
    +Smite
    +Null Zone

    Troops - *1125*

    Scout Squad (10 Scouts)
    +Heavy Bolter
    +Sniper Rifles

Space Marine Biker Squad (7 Bikers)
    +Power Fist
    +Flamer x2
    +Attack Bike

Space Marine Biker Squad (7 Bikers)
    +Power Fist
    +Melta Gun x2

Space Marine Biker Squad (7 Bikers)
    +Power Fist
    +Melta Gun x2

Space Marine Biker Squad (7 Bikers)
    +Power Fist
    +Melta Gun x2

    Elites - 125 Points

    Techmarine
    +Servo-Harness
    +Power Weapon
    +Bolt Pistol
    +Bike

    Fast Attack - 360 points

Attack Bike Squadron (3 Attack Bikes)
    +Heavy Bolters

Attack Bike Squadron (3 Attack Bikes)
    +Heavy Bolters

Attack Bike Squadron (3 Attack Bikes)
    +Heavy Bolters

Total - *2000* points. Fairly sure my math checks out

Tactics would be to use your superior mobility to get your squads to what they're good at taking out - Attack Bikes pepper horde infantry from range, Marine Bikers crack tanks and assault tougher squads. Scouts sit in cover and pray to the emperor nobody notices them

I know this list is fluffy, but is it (reasonably) competitive?

I just realized that it says "Space Marine Bikers as troops". This would exclude the (now deleted) Scout Bikers. Blast.

What are your other two favourites? Raven Guard better be in there... =P

    HQ - 390 points

    Kor'sarro Khan
    + Moondrakkan

An obvious choice, considering the chapter.

    Librarian
    +Epistolary
    +Bike
    +Bolt Pistol
    +Smite
    +Null Zone

Why Null Zone, out of curiousity? Do you face a lot of armies with many invulnerable saves? I'd suggest swapping Null Zone for another power, such as Might of the Ancients or the Avenger.

Also, consider running this guy with Might of the Ancients and Force Dome, to give him an invulnerable save, thus making him quite a killer in combat; higher Toughness from the bike, higher Strength force weapon, and still yet an invulnerable save... very scary!

    Troops - 1165 points

    Scout Squad (10 Scouts)
    +Heavy Bolter
    +Sniper Rifles
    +Melta Bombs

I would suggest changing this squad up just slightly. Drop it down to 5 man and give them all camo cloaks, and consider dropping the melta bombs. I personally tend to run missile launchers in my sniper squads, but heavy bolters can work well too. The squad will only run you 100 points and be an exceptional objective holder.

    Scout Biker Squad (7 Bikers)
    +Cluster Mines
    +Power Fist
    +Astarte Grenade Launcher

    Scout Biker Squad (7 Bikers)
    +Cluster Mines
    +Power Fist
    +Astarte Grenade Launcher x2

I am not sure that these guys are allowed to be Troops. The rule states that 'Space Marine Bike squads' count as Troops, not 'Scout Biker squads.' However, even if that were the case, I have to question your choice here. Scout Bikers aren't really the most solid of units, at best they are good for cheap and mobile locator beacons. I would drop them down to one squad and include no more than 5 bikers in that squad, and use the points elsewhere.

Space Marine Biker Squad (6 Bikers)
    +Power Fist
    +Melta Gun x2

Space Marine Biker Squad (5 Bikers)
    +Power Fist
    +Melta Gun x2

Space Marine Biker Squad (5 Bikers)
    +Power Fist
    +Melta Gun x2

Looks solid. Consider dropping the extra biker from your first squad and using the points from that and the Scout Bikers to add some Attack Bikes into each squad. I'd personally suggest the heavy bolter variant as opposed to the multi-melta, since you have two meltaguns per squad as well as a powerfist, which is plenty of anti-tank.

    Elites - 125 Points

    Techmarine
    +Servo-Harness
    +Power Weapon
    +Bolt Pistol
    +Bike

What's your plan with this guy? I honestly think the points could be spent better elsewhere; he's only a mediocre character for the points, and more bikers elsewhere is probably more beneficial.

    Fast Attack - 320 points

Attack Bike Squadron (3 Attack Bikes)
    +Heavy Bolters

Attack Bike Squadron (3 Attack Bikes)
    +Heavy Bolters

Attack Bike Squadron (2 Attack Bikes)
    +Heavy Bolters

I'd consider one of the following for this section: first, drop all of them (since you're getting your Attack Bike fix in your regular bike squads). The options are either to spend the points on 2-3 tanks in heavy support (bikes supported by tanks is nice!) or to use the points and get another squad of bikers.

One solid option, especially to run with Khan, would be to get a Command Squad on bikes. With a Company Champion and a meltagun, the squad will only run you 230 points, and you can add another close combat weapon to the mix if you'd like. With FNP and Khan's rules for them, this could be a VERY devastating squad, especially if your Librarian runs with them.

Total - 2000 points. Fairly sure my math checks out

Tactics would be to use your superior mobility to get your squads to what they're good at taking out - Attack Bikes pepper horde infantry from range, Scout Bikers do similar with their grenade launchers, Marine Bikers crack tanks and assault tougher squads. Scouts sit in cover and pray to the emperor nobody notices them

I know this list is fluffy, but is it (reasonably) competitive?
I hope this has given you some food for thought. Good luck!

Heh. I must have edited it while you were posting. I came to the same conclusion on the scout bikers as you did. Time for take 2 on the list based on your comments and some thinking. (By the way, the three favorites are Space Wolves, Raven Guard, and White Scars. Four if you count the Grey Knights)

Honestly, I would call that a 'perfect' list now. A healthy mix of anti-infantry and anti-tank. A nice combat unit. Five scoring units. The only thing that could change are the powers on your Librarian, depending on whether or not you feel like it at the time.

    Very nice list.

+ bonus points for Raven Guard.
