I've been neglecting my Marines in all the excitement for the New IG Codex. My marines had been pissing me off because they were in a rut of tying all the time and losing occasionally with a few wins. My previous list had been fairly balanced with a few points of ultrakilley like command squad w/ plasma guns, a drop pod iron clad, allied GK w/ GK termies, and inquisitor lord double sages w/ heavy bolters, PlasmaDevies.
So now I've decided to build a list similar to how I would build IG, points effective with no reliance on any super units, that just stands and delivers.
Here it is:
Dreadnought, Autocannon, Autocannon
Full Tac Squad, meltagun, lascannon, Lascannon Razorback
Land Speeder Squadron Heavy Flamer, Tornado Melta
Cheap and effective is the name of the game.
Cassius because I had to take an HQ which for marines is mostly a way to waste points, unless you bring Vulcan.
Dreadnoughts are for anti-transport duty. I might be convinced to take an autocannon off the punching arm, but I like the guaranteed armor 12 destruction.
Tac Squads are the cheapest way to get plenty of anti-tank on the battlefield, although I feel cheated for the points, I only get 5 average AV14 penetrates out of 1140 points. I can combat squad and run the punchy half up for the objectives in seize ground.
Land speeder is there to take out units in cover, contest objectives late game or distract hordes, and because I had 60 free points.
Thunderfire is to bring swarms and armor 10 to it's knees cheaply. Also good against most monstrous for wound dropping.
Still I don't know. I'm not confident at all with my marines lists anymore.

Full Tac w/ PF
Minimum Scout Snipers, Telion, Cloaks
Land Speeder Squadron, Flamer, Melta x3
Can't beat a Lith and requires me to make a huge investment in Land Speeders, but as a theoretical goes perhaps this list is superior.
Or I could go Ultra Gimmicky
Assault Termies full squad, THammer
Ironclad Drop Pod
Melee Scouts PF, meltabombs
Tactical Squad PF, Meltagun, Lascannon, Drop Pod, Deathwind
