Ooh yes, MindWar is back with in excess of 500pt lists.
This time it's with the Guard, a Mech Regiment which is yet to be named.
They hail from a toxic death world where the air is poisonous, the water is contaminated and the earth refuses to grow any plants. However, this world produces massive amounts of electricity and minerals for the Imperium.
All adults that are from this world (yes, it still doesn't have a name) typically have at least one cybernetic replacement to help them survive. They rarely venture out of their domed cities and when they do, they're accompanied by vehicles and equipped with rebreathers and protective gear (in addition to their standard issue guard equipment).
Oh. They're an entirely militant planet. High discipline. No psykers. Led by Officers rather than politicians.
Yes anyway, enough of my crappy fluff that needs extreme makeover.

2 Veteran Squads (160pts)
3 Chimera Transports (155pts)
Now... here comes a little debate. I initially thought to bring 3 Armoured Sentinels instead of the Chimeras, whilst this would have fit fluff-wise (they do use Sentinels, only the Armoured Variants) I was thinking that they'd bring Chimeras before Sentinels. Rules-wise now: Chimeras can transport my men, I only want that for Straken's group, as my Autocannons want to shoot... a lot... and with 48" range who needs to move them? The Sentinels would give me better melee support and still be able to annoy the hell out of any other 500pts. Now objective-based: I'd want Chimeras to be able to move my second Veteran squad to another objective. Sentinels might be able to contest, but they're vehicles, AND fast attack, so no dice. Kill-points-wise I don't see any difference for either Chimeras or Sentinels, essentially they're the same. I'm just worried about characters with Melta Bombs. Yes, I've seen people bring them in 500pts. It sucks.
Just realised. I lack any AP3 or higher weapons. Though heavy, I can't deal with other heavy armies, especially MEQs and vehicular armies. Damnit.
