    2k Vet Army of DOOM

    Figured I'd remake my old Elysian D-99 list into one in line with the new Guard 'dex. Lemme know whatcha think.

    Debating putting Carapce on half the squads instead of Demo. Basically use the demo teams in the Valks as AT busters and the stronger carapaced dudes in the Vendettas as objective takers.

    Any thoughts? (And before you ask I've been playing Eysians since IA3 and own about 4 valk models and plan on adding more, so this isn't some new IG player being like "OMG! Flierz are sooo c00l, lets spam them!!11")

    If you win games against Nids with flamers (aside from the Inferno Cannon on a Hellhound), you're playing against opponents with stupidity of impressive magnitude.

    Carapace armour is of debatable value, I'd stick with demolitions since it can help you take the objective in the first place.

    You have 7 squads and only 6 transports (Sly can look after himself). Why not make one of the vet squads into an infiltrating fire support unit. Give them a lascannon and 3 plasmaguns and put them in cover with cammo cloaks and drop demmo charges for the defensive grenade doctrine. They will hold one of your home objectives nicely and the 3+ cover save should keep them around for a while.

    Other squads look good. If your vets have 3 plasmas then give the other members lasguns (every thing rappid fires), otherwise use shotuns.

    Interesting theme. Cant say i can see it stand up to a decent gun line (its a little on the frail side) but it packs a hell of a punch. Thats a hell of a lot of Demo charges . Theres not really any way around that though, with the style your going for. Well constructed, well themed army. Will do fantastic against some opponents, terrible against others. Good luck getting first turn is all im gonna say.

    3 squadrons of 2 are superior. If you bring Straken, put PFs on every unit.

    Drop 1 unit of Vets or use Harker, then use the points to buff your other units. Give the Valks missile pods. Demolitions are expensive, carapace if anything really. Powerfist, 3 meltas or 3 plasma. Heavy Flamers are too expensive.
