    This list is meant to continue my old mech guard list and fluff , hence the carapace and vanquisher. I love the fluff for the vanquisher so id like to keep it even tho it seems very expensive. My last list was a mech grenadier’s list and I built so pretty extensive conversion and fluff around it. I was trying for the same feel, focusing on the mechanized aspect and the fact that they where heavy infantry (hence the carapace armour) the a couple points left to spare , 58 I believe, but for some reason I got a bad feeling about this list.

    Maybe it time to go back to the drawing board, but I’ll post this any ways.

    Infantry: If your intention is to shoot from inside the chimeras then take LC+plasmaguns or at least 3 GLs in each unit. The carapace armour can go to save points. If you want to use them mobile and disembark to shred people with firepower then take 3 meltas or 3 plasmas and keep the carapace.

    Tanks: The Vanquisher is an antitank specialist so drop the sponsons and stubber and put a lascannon on the front. Other tanks are ok but if you strip away all the stubers and sponsons you can easily afford another basic russ.

    Where are the Vets' special weapons? Meltas or plasma here. Carapace is unnecessary if you're riding in a transport.

    Pask only needs a lascannon. 3 Hydras > Exterminator.
