    1k First list in the new codex -- please look!

    I know there are a lot of threads like these at the moment, but I would be very grateful for any input!

    Company Command Squad (power weapon, bolt pistol, 2x plasma gun, medic, vox caster) 127

    Platoon Command 1 (bolt pistol, 3x GL, vox) 52
    squad 1 (GL, ML, vox) 75
    squad 2 (GL, ML, vox) 75
    HW teams (autocannons) 75

    Platoon Command 2 (3x flamer, vox) 50
    squad 1 (Meltagun, vox) 65
    squad 2 (meltagun, vox) 65

    veteran squad (3x flamer, vox, chimera, h/stubber) 155

    scout sentinel 35

    leman russ (lascannon, heavy bolters)

    I am going to use orders to the max, so voxes are a must, but I am having trouble from heavy armour. Any help appreciated!

    Disclaimer: the following are sugestions from personal experience, feel free to ignore if you want.

    1 - Leman Russ: change the Lascannon to Heavy Bolter and the Heavy Bolters to Plasma Cannons.

    2 - Eliminate the Hunter Killer Missile. One shoot weapons + medium BS = waste of points.

    3 - Use a veteran squad for put 3x Flamers in a Chimera is big waste of high BS. Change the flamers from the veterans to the PCS of the first platoon and give their GLs to the veteran squad.

    4 - Dont waste points in bolt pistols, ad anothe special weapon or a mortar.

    Let's make a summary.

    Infantry: 69
    Light Vehicles: 2
    Transports: 1
    Heavy Tanks: 1
    Scoring Units: 6
    Kill Points: 12
    Large Blasts: 1
    Heavy Weapons: 13
    Special Weapons: 15

    I am going to be honest, I think that these list is weak. On 1000 pts. only one Ordenance Weapon, just 13 Heavy Weapons and only one transport. The oponent can sit and shoot them to death from long range before the 15 short range Special Weapons have a chance to fire. Try to get more Tanks and/or more Heavy Weapons.

    Well, my main enemy is nids, so they sort of forgo shooting to charge at me

    As with the HK missile, I have found this to be highly useful

    With the veterans, I'll be jumping out, flaming the nearest nids before riding off to a) grill some more bugs or b) claim last minute objectives

    As with the kill points I was going to merge the squads and take advantage of first rank FIRE e.t.c
