This is the army I'm considering for next round in a tourny. The game progresses 500pnts at a time. The units on top are "locked in" since I already fielded them(although I can change wargear and add troopers). The mission is capture and control but I don't know what army my opponent will field.
This is the first 500:
HQ- SM Captain
Troop1- Space Marine(1 Flamer, ML, Strm Bltr, Melta Bms)
T1 deployed w/Rhino
Troop2- Space Marine(5)Melta Bombs
Heavy1- Predator w/AC and 2xhvy bolters
This is the next 500
Elite1- Terminators(5) Assault Cannon(1)Chainfist(2)
Troop3-Scouts(9)HB, Sniper(4), Teleport Homer
I'll use the scouts to take an objective outside my own zone. Hopefully the terminators(in reserve) will show up before their destroyed. The whirlwind and T2 will cover objectives in my zone T1 w/captain will advance with the predator.
HQ1-Command squad(5)Banner and champion
Troop2-Add5 Tac Squad(10)-MM, Flamer
The command squad and sniper cbt sqd will hold a starting objective. The other scouts infiltrate an uncontested obj. Drop pod lands on contested obj. T1w/rhino goes where needed . Whirlwind and predator pound the enemy.
I'd go with option 2, also the points addition for your tact squad is 80 not 70.
IG Best Gen 1st overall of 10 DE 4th overall of 6
Eldar 3rd Overall/Best General of 26--2nd Overall/Best General of 7--1st Overall/Best General of 11
I'd go with option two. I think it'd be more flexible.

For get your Mr T, John Mayer leaks pure awesomeness with every note he plays.
Option 2 is certainly more flexible, I'd go for that.
