    500pt. IG Combat Patrol

    i have a upcoming combat patrol tournament and i wanted to use my new ig army. the opponents i will be facing are pretty varied (theres an ork, nid, space marine, eldar, grey knights) so i wanted a good all around list.

    being combat patrol limits a great deal for what i can take, the only vehicles i can take are sentinals and chimeras, (i don't have a hydra flak tank)

    500pts

    Troops
    Infantry Platoon
    platoon command squad - replace lasguns w/ laspistols for all
    infantry sq. +autocannon
    infantry sq. +autocannon
    infantry sq. +flamer (+chimera - replace HB w/ Heavy flamer)
    infantry sq. +flamer (+chimera - replace HB w/ Heavy flamer)

    Vet squad +2plasma guns +grenadiers upgrade

    here is my list i plan on using the autocannon squads to take out the vehicles and camp the objectives. the command sq. is for counter assualt. the squads in the chimeras i plan on driving towards the objectives and taking them. the vets are for taking out heavy enemy squads and vehicles, i gave them better armour so they could take a few hits when not in cover.

    i have considered dropping the vet squad, as i few its has too many points invested in it, but i can't think of a better way to deal w/ 3+ armor saves then plasma guns, and giving a plasma gun to a 5+ save guardsmen is a waste as he will most likely kill him self so i had to give them the armor upgrade.

    i feel i have adequte anti-vehicle firepower (2autocannons, 2multi-lasers, 2plasma guns)
    i feel i dont have adequte anti-smurf firepower (2 plasma guns)

    I would greatly apreciate some feedback!!!

    oh i forgot to mention the tournment is for 500pts its not a mistake, even tho in the rules combat patrol is only 400pts,

    One idea would be to go entirely mechanized, leaving no target for anti-infantry weapons, and because there are scoring units inside the transports, they trasnport itself counts as scoring. Heck, you could just run practically empty squads in chimeras just to get more.

    I would suggest dropping the carapace armour on the vets, because you're paying all those points for a 1/6 better chance of saving themselves, which will only be needed 1/6 times every time they fire.

    With those points you should give your autocannon squads some sort of special weapon, and could add flamers to your PCS. Oh, and you also may as well shove another plasmagun into the vet squad.

    Also swap one of the chimeras to the now 3 plas vet squad.
