Ok, first of all, dropping the vox from one of the infantry squads in each platoon gets you a third melta gun for that veteran squad. If you combine the squads, you still get the benefit from the vox. Dropping sly marbo and the basilisk frees up points for a second vendetta, a valkyrie with multiple rocket pods (for horde killing) or another russ, and more special weapons on the command squads. I always put multiple special weapons on command squads (In fact, I max out special weapons whenever able. But 3 is fine, usually)

As for tactics, if you have fairly little armor so what is there will be a big fire magnet. Basilisks are very hard to hide, and with their AV they'll not last too long. Personally, I always manage to find better uses for XX points than Marbo, but some people like him, and if you do, go for it.

I wouldnt take a basilisk - that minimum range is just too long for me. Try to squeeze in another russ. Drop marbo and use the points on other stuff like adding more wargear to your CCS and vet squad.

12 kill points? sounds like one of my lists!

I would combine the two platoons, that way in annihalation you have a fortyman squad for 1 kill point, unless you like your orders

@Carroman50: Why would the Bassie min range be a problem? Any barrage weapon may fire directly, ignoring minimum range, unless the profile states otherwise (like with the Griffon). Page 58 in the main rulebook, iirc.

Anyways, the list suffers from "a little of this, a little of that". Granted, this is only 1000 points, but 3 hulls seems middling. The CCS is utterly useless in that config. The Vets need the third meltagun. They also don't need a vox since they won't be close enough to an officer to hear orders.

How powered up are you looking to go? You can fit three Russes or three vendettas in 1000 points ...

I've been addicted to World of Tanks lately and neglecting my IG... But it is so... much... fun!

    How about this?

    CCS - 1 Plasma; Vox - 70

    Sly Marbo - 65

    PCS - Grenade Launcher; Vox - 40

Infantry Squad - Grenade Launcher; Autocannon; Vox- 70

Infantry Squad - Grenade Launcher; Autocannon - 65

    PCS - Grenade Launcher; Vox - 40

Infantry Squad - Grenade Launcher; Autocannon; Vox - 70

Infantry Squad - Grenade Launcher; Autocannon - 65

Veteran Squad - 3 Meltaguns; Vox - 105 [Vets will go in the vendetta]

    Vendetta - 130

    Basilisk - 125

    Leman Russ - 150

I don't know what to do with the CCS. I just want it to keep out of trouble and give orders. How can I improve it?
