    1500 Balanced List

    Another attempt at this...

    HQ:
    CCS, mortar

    Troops:

    Platoon 1
    PCS, mortar

    Squad 1
    autocannon, plasma gun

    Squad 2
    autocannon, plasma gun

    Squad 3
    autocannon, plasma gun

    Platoon 2
    PCS, mortar

    Squad 1
    missile launcher, plasma gun

    Squad 2
    missile launcher, plasma gun

    Squad 3
    missile launcher, plasma gun

    Veteran Squad
    3 melta guns

    Fast Attack:

    Hellhound

    Vendetta

    Heavy support:

    LRBT, heavy bolter sponsons

    LRBT, heavy bolter sponsons

    Demolisher, lascannon, plasma cannon sponsons

    1510pts

Another incarnation of the list I'm trying to perfect... Firstly where am I gonna lose 10pts? its about as slimline as I can make it in every area. secondly I'm not sure I've got enough anti-tank in just the vend and the vets... comments/suggestians very welcome

HQ: Cheap and good. A standard may be a good investment to keep the other squads from running.

Troops: Platoon 2 is perfect. Platoon 1 is ok but the palasma and autocannon don't realy work well together. They have the same strength but not the same AP. Either go for ML/Plasma or AC/GL. As you are a few points over I would suggest the latter. Veterans are fine and could take shotguns too.

Fast: Good. Doorgunners if you have some points left over at the end.

Heavy: Drop the lascannon from the demolisher. I would reccomend 3 Russ with plasma sponsons.

For 5 points more than missile launchers you get lascannons, which are a lot better against tanks. Look into combining them and adding a vox to 1 unit to make the most of orders. 2 units of 20 guardsmen with 2 twin-linked lascannons in each combined squad would be a handy fire base.

Plasma and Autocannons have the same S, so they can both help pop transports.

I'd prefer 2 Vendettas, door gunners help them threaten infantry still.

Demolisher is great, I'd actually like field 2. Lascannon hull weapon is unimpressive at BS3, go for a heavy flamer to protect against enemies that get too close.

    HQ: its nice and cheap

Troops: plasma guns are not the best thing for a guardsmen can carry. Your more likely to kill the man weilding the gun than your opponent.
Im fine with missile launchers its a nice all around weapon. But you should either pick the missle launcher or the autocannon.

Fast Attack: I dont like the lone hellhound or just one Vendetta. Pick one or the other and go with that.

Heavy Support: I like your heavy support choices here. Although I am not a fan of the demolisher its still a good tank to some so I have no complaints.
