    I know it's an inutterably stupid list, but there aren't many counters to it for a Daemons player. Could be fun for making yourself some enemies

    You can save the money spent on power weapons for your Inq's considering daemon saves are Invuln. Also, I'd consider going with 3 heavy bolters for each vet retinues. Most daemons run after deepstriking to try to reach cover or to spread out against blasts.

    For your acolytes, consider just bolters or even combi-flamers/meltas.

    You have a MAJOR problem...you have nothing that can handle his Soulgrinders. You need to consider combi-meltas and meltabombs.

    Most Daemons do indeed run after Deep Striking, which is a pain because if they get into cover you need Incinerators to dislodge them. Problem is the Mystic's free shots are taken as soon as the unit lands on the table, in the opponent's Movement phase, and since Running takes place in the Shooting phase they can't run.

    The reason they're geared the way they are is for wound allocation purposes, although a bit of melta here and there wouldn't go amiss. Wouldn't put it on the Acolytes though; they're BS3 with a 6+ armour save. It looks better on the Warriors.

    I wouldn't say it was a MAJOR problem. After all, a Psycannon will wound all of the Daemons' Troops choices on a 2+ and none of them have Iron Hide (ergo no armour save), leaving his scoring units with three options; die on the turn they land, die trying to cross the board, or spend the entire game squirming through cover.

    That said, it wouldn't be difficult to swap a few things round and maybe stick some multimelta servitors or a couple of mounted IST melta-squads in there.
