Hello everyone! So this is my second attempt at a 2k point IG list. The list has changed a lot from a ton of grunts to a lot less more mobile vet squads. The theme of my army is going to be a urban warfare force with urban camo and asphalt bases. So I’m pretty set on what to spend the first 1020pts on but I’m pressed to think of what kind of heavy support the urban forces would roll with. Well here is the list as is.
Company command squad, auto cannon… 60
Platoon Command Squad, auto cannon… 40
Infantry Squad x3, auto cannons…….. 230
Vet Squads x3, 9 meltas………… 300
Fast Attack (vet transport)
Vendetta Gunship x3…….. 390
So this is the list as is. So I’m asking you what you guys think so far and what you think I could add to my list to fit the fluff. How I rough drafted it with 2 LR 2 Executioners and a Punisher with pask. I know not many peeps are fans of the punisher but I can just imagine it rolling down a crowded street lighting up buildings with its gun. Also I have plenty of anti tank and need some solid anti infantry which I think the executioners and punisher would fill nice. so you got 980pts what would you guys add to be competitive and fit the fluff? So let me know what you guys think!
If it's designed for urban warfare, then an Eradicator would be your friend. Cover-ignoring rounds and all that. A Demolisher too, for blowing up any building in your path.
More grunts wouldn't hurt either, if you want to run infantry you may as well take lots.

Haven't done COD yet, just City Fight way back when. But there flamers were always good choice and are definitely fitting with urban warfare. Mortars are also good for ignoring LOS cheaply and pinning infantry from safe place, but in City Fight they would only hit the uppermost floor of a building, not sure how that is in COD.
Do you want to just do a themed Urban list or a pure CoD list? I'm a great fan of CoD and i've played many many games in the urban warfare zone with my guard.
If it's CoD..........
You need ALOT more bodies in your list. The attrition rate in City Fight is just insane as it's all really done from within 12". I'd see about chucking another platoon in there with just special weapons. This way platoon 1 can hold home objectives and platoon 2 can go grab objectives while the vets can concentrate on their job of taking big things down.
If your Urban Terrain is worth anything theres not going to be space to place those lovely BIG Valk models. Remember if you land in difficult terain (most of the board) then you'll be taking those dangerous terrain tests. I'd probably loose these and give the Vets Chimeras with Dozer Blades. You'd save a shed load of points which you can spend on more tanks or another Platoon.
As already posted an Eradicator and Demolisher will suit this army well and they really do excell in Urban Warfare, which is what they were designed for in the first place.
I'd also think about grabbing some Bane Wolves. These boys can move 12" and use their AP3 no cover save Chem Cannon AND a Heavy Flamer. These boys are just nasty in City fight so i'd think long and hard about the reasons NOT to take one or two of these fellas in a Urban themed List.
....... a few ideas for you anyway.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I completley forgot about the CoD games. I was actually just thinking of an urban themed army for the basic game. I really do think that eradicator will me a good fit for that's what it was made for. So now knowing it's not just for the CoD does that change what you guys would add or still the same stuff?
Yes, but only slightly. The only thing that I really noticed with my CoD guard army when i played in normal games was a lack of long range anti-tank. I plugged this with some lascannon sentinels. These boys armoured or scout are fine in normal games and better when it comes to CoD.
If you went with 2 Units of 2 Scout Sentinels geared up for taking down vehicles that should be enough as you've already got some Melta Vets. Scout sentinels with Autocannon & Hunter Killer Missiles work pretty well for taking down transports and getting the side armour of heavier tanks. If you've got the points you can always chuck on some Lascannons if you feel the need but most things side armour is 12 or lower. Remember, The outflank ability is your friend
I'd Possibly swap one of those Melta Vets to a Plasma squad for taking down Monstrous creatures and Heavy Infantry. Chuck these boys in a transport and give them a Demo Charge and they can really do some drive by hurt. The bonus of being in a Chimera over a Valk is you don't have to get out of your nice armoured box to shoot.
This is really just me, but in Urban warfare a command squad geared up for close and personal fights would probably serve you better. A couple of Melta guns and possibly a powerfist in here can give your infantry swarm a good punch. The FRFSRF order when your infantry squads can make a difference aswell. Especially with things like "fire on my command" for a plasma weilding vet squad to flush those marines out of Cover.
