    1,500pts Infiltrate & Deep Strike

just an idea I came up with awhile ago I thought I'd post on here to see what you guys think. I've got a pretty large force of Space Marines but I haven't played with them too much and am by no means a veteran (got distracted by the wonders of huge tyranid's). But yeah any criticism is welcome.

    HQ
    Space Marine Captain 170pts
twin lightening claws, artificer armour & Jump Pack
    (goes with assault marines)

    Troops
    5 Scouts 90pts
    Snipers, Teleport Homer
    5 Scouts 75pts
    Snipers
    (infiltrate into the same place)

    5 Scouts90pts
    Snipers, Teleport homer
    5 Scouts 75pts
    Snipers
    (infiltrate into the same place)

    Tactical squad 220pts
10 men, meltagun, lascannon, drop pod

    Tactical squad 220pts
10 men, meltagun, lascannon, drop pod

    Elites
    5 Terminator's 240pts
cyclone missile launcher, 2 chain fists
    (deep strike)

    Fast attack
    Assault Squad 135pts
    flamer, power fist
    (deep strike)

    Heavy Support
    Predator 85pts
    Autocannon, heavy bolters

    Predator 85pts
    Autocannon, heavy bolters

    Predator 85pts
    Autocannon, heavy bolters

    Total:1495pts

The idea is Scouts 1 & 2 infiltrate onto one key location, and 3 & 4 onto another. One drop podding tactical squad lands on the position likely to draw the most attention from the opponent. The other tactical squad, terminators and assault marines with captain deep strike where needed. The predator's just fire at things pretty much but with their range ought to be able to aid either of these little task force type things when they are needed. The Scout squad's without Teleport homers can babysit objectives the opponent has no chance of getting at unless they destroy the entire rest of my army (in the event of the rest of my army being killed I won't worry too much about the well being of 5 scouts or their objective defending ability).

I was thinking of running the same type of list with my marines but here's what's holding me back: These types of lists or designated to be when playing with objectives, but what if you roll for annhiliation? Since you cant control when certain squads arrive, you might be shot at one at a time, one by one. Basically, if only 1-2 squads arrive every turn, the enemy can focus it's fire on those two w/o worrying about others, so you end up just feeding the opponent models

I think if annihilation rolled I'd just deploy everything except the tactical squad's.

i would eccomend dropping the teleport homers for locator beacons, as locator beacons are not only cheaper but teleport homers only work for terminator squads which you only have one of compared to helping the rest of your army deep strike safely
Ask me about the Black and White Space Marine on the Black and White Bike!!!

drop pods already have their inertial guidence system so they never scatter on top of something, and locator beacons are only useful if they're already on the table, so I'd have to land drop pod 2 within 6" of drop pod one (not very useful as they were designed to be deployed at different points often)
