Welcome to Librarium Online!
I have been moving items around in my list recently and wanted to get an opinion or two on what might work better as far as anti-heavy units go. List to follow.
-10 Man Tactical Squad
-10 man Tactical Squad
-10 Man Scout Sniper Squad
-9 Sniper Rifles
-Assault Terminator Sqaud
-Land Raider Crusader
-10 Man Assault Squad
Now, it would be either that list, or I would switch out the Dreadnought for 2 Land Speeders with Heavy Flamers and Multi-Meltas. I would also add a Power Fist to my Assault Squad. I was wondering if the second option would be better as it would give my opponent more targets to have to choose from. Also, I would be able to potentially cause more casualties per turn than my Dreadnought would, assuming the speeders don't get toasted early on. The Power Fist should be able to help out with some tougher targets as well. As far as any input on adding a 2nd Rhino, or more scoring units, I plan on doing so when I expand my point total but for now the Tac Squad with the Rhino will be tackling objectives furthest from my deployment zone, while the other sits on, or near the closer ones. Thanks a bunch
Id have to say the second option would work better, but it is hardder to judge friendly lists in my opinion they should just play the units the player likes as a personal preference instead of raw game winning potential.
Ask me about the Black and White Space Marine on the Black and White Bike!!!
Elites: Dread is ok but a pred with AC+2LC is cheaper, has better armour and more guns. Termies are fine. Because you are protected in a transport you could swap in 2-3 L-claw termies. I prefer the LRR over the LRC any day.
Troops: Tac squads are fine. The scouts I find too expensive. Drop Telion and get a razorback for tac squad #2.
Fast: Need a PF or TH.
Quorn! - Protein for the Protein God.
Thank you both for the input. I very much like idea of a Predator with the loadout mentioned. Now I am torn between that and having the two Land Speeders with the MM's and HF's. The speeders certainly would not last as long as the Pred, on average, but assuming they were left alone, they would be able to cruise around toasting softer targets after the tougher ones are long gone. Hmm : / If i were to keep them in reserve, they could react to my opponents moves and perhaps not focused on.
Forgot to add, I plan to give my 2nd Tac Squad a Rhino while adding another Tac Squad with a PF and MM to sit on my closest objective. To do this I would be getting rid of my scout squad outright.
