Hi again all. Refined my 2k DP list to take advantage of some new models I got and some new play experience. I want it to be able to stand up to a wide range of armies and I think I accomplished that without breaking too far away from common DP practices.
The Librarian would drop with the Stern and gate them around using the beacons on the pods. All Elite would pod first, MM Dread hitting the most dangerous armor, the IC Dread helping or double flaming some infantry, and the sternguard looking for a good target to melt or rapid-fire. Everything else is in reserve and will come on hopefully ASAP. The Razorback will move on from reserve and help defend a home point with the Plasma cannon Tac. squad separating into combat squads. The Land Speeders should be able to eliminate any threatening armor and if they survive flame or frag some softer targets. I think I have around 10 points left for 2k, need to look it over again and find the best place to fit it in.
So, should this army work? Should I not leave everything off the table? Any thoughts on how it would play out Vs armies? Thanks as always guys!

Don't really know too much about space marine drop pod lists, so I'll avoid giving you bad advise.
Only thing is I didn't think you could take two special weapons in a tactical squad
I looked through it again but didn't see what you were talking about. Did I miss something?
The MM/plasma cannon is the heavy, the plasma gun is special and the powerfist is on the sarge. I'm lost too
unless he means the Assault squad in which they are allowed to have 2 specials. either flamers or plasma pistols

I have sadly passed that line o.0?
Tested V Imperial guard army, and came out pretty well. The Elites take a pounding but the Ironclad rips through most anything they fielded at drop pod range. A couple of times I missed not having the melta on the hammer but as soon as I vaporized mass amounts of infantry I would forget all about it. The start was hairy but then turned into a slow death as more and more units poured on at the right spots. Hope it keeps up.
I have been thinking of replacing my Typhoon Land Speeder with a JP Chaplain. The LS is effective and even more so if it happens to survive the counter attack after deep striking. I'm betting that the JP chaplain attached to the assault squad would make more of an impact though. With a decent number of melta and AT on the board I might be able to sacrifice one more. Any one have any thoughts?
I thought only 6 models can go into a razor back
Eldar -APOC- 6500 Points
Chaos Daemons -Fate Crusher- 3500 Points
Grey knights - 1000 Points
You are correct.
