    Ard Boyz Guard

    What do you think? I won first place last round with orks, so I thought I would switch it up to guard this time around.

    The Grey knights would outflank along with the vendettas assuming I didnt get first turn and then they vendettas would alpha strike some vehicles backed up with vets. In kill point missions the platoon would blob and then I would have 5 twin linked stubborn autocannons firing away that would be going to ground every turn and then standing back up. Russ's and executioner and demo. would just be fire support for whatever needed to die.

    Grey Knights are not allowed inside a vendetta, it has not been faq but for ard boyz they specifically say you cannot.

    It would be more accurate to say that GK Termies can't ride in a Vendetta. Vanilla GKs still can.

    Looks nasty to me. Go for it. Though you'll need to downgrade the termies to vanilla GKs to get them in a Vendetta.

    I'm still trying to lower my own KPs for that first mission. Each of my mounted Vet squads is worth 4 KP, which hurts.

    Good thing they arent. Creed allows you to outflank with one friendly unit. That would include GKT. The vets will be riding in the vendettas.

    The only grey knights in his list are termies, but I wouldnt outflank with them.

    ouch what is the point level? how did you get so many nasty things in the same list?!!

    5 russes will definitely mess someone up!

    yea it looks good, but outflanking the terminators might waste them, being surrounded by the opponents army, they might be overwhelmed(i would be tempted to deepstrike the terminators and outflank the leman russ squadron, that way you have 2 vendetta, 20 vets, 3 russes, and 5 terminators halfway up his ass by second turn!!

    FYI, 'Ard Boyz is played at 2500 pts.

    i once fielded 9 russes in an 1850 tourney by my house. it was fun i tabled an eldar player but got tabled the other two games.

    looks like a good list

    After playing a few test games and some more theory hammer, ive come up with some changes to the list that I think make it over all more effective. The only downside is that it gives off more troop slot kill points which will count for 3 points each in one particular mission. The problem with the first version was that it had almost no static anti tank fire and had to rely on the fire and forget vendettas/vets. Now if they happen to epic fail I have 5 lascannons to fall back on and with the platoon blobbed into one big squad it wont be hard to make all of them twin linked. Alternatively i can hold the vendettas back for fire support and throw out 11 twin liked lascannon shots a turn.

    The grey knights got switched around to psycannons because I believe with two psycannons in the squad I can put a real hurting on any sort of deamons (fate weaver will easily die in one shooting phase)or a seer council. The psychic hood is too damn good to pass up, you can put a kink in any chaos or eldar players lynch pin tactic and throw them off their game if you can stop fortune and lash from going off. Over all I think this is a well meta gamed list for the majority of archetype builds out there. I think the only thing that will give me fits would be a horde IG or horde ork army, but I dont think its likely i will face either.
