Ok christmas is comming up and i want to expand on my marine army. I have a list in mind which could be classed as competitive and so can deal with most armies.
Pedro Kantor =175
company champion w RB and DL =280
relic blade x2
sternguard x6 =200
sternguard x6 =200
sterguard x6 =235
tactical marines x6
serg with power weapon, plasma pistle =211
tactical marines x10 =210
sniper rifle x4 =135
Thunderfire cannon =100
General plan is for the thunderfire cannon and scouts to sit on objectives. By reinforcing that piece of terrain the TFC will get a 3+ cover and as the scouts have tellion they will get a 2+ cover. Kantor will go with the honour guard. This squad will pair up with a sterguard razorback while the sterguard squad with the lasacannon razorback will pair up with the rhino. Lastly the other sternguard suqad will pair up with the smaller tactical squad. These will use smoke and line of sight to get cover saves and each 'group' will go to each objective. The tacitcal razorback will sit on objectives that the scouts can't reach trying to get cover from terrain while snipping with its lasacannon. Combi-meltas are for any tanks with the TFC slowing certain units down.
Overall i think this list could do quite well with plenty of scoring units. Please make a comment on your opinions
Nothing more funny than 3 inquisitors with sanctify when facing deamons. They cant do anything while you stand in front of them having a tee break.
at least one sternguard squad dropping by pod might be use full
