    1000 pts Semi-Mech

    My first idea for 1000 pts list, intented for friendly games.

    HQ:
    CCS
    HWT with Lascannon 70 pts


    Troops:

    Inf. Platoon
    PCS 95 pts
    2 x flamer
    Chimera

    Inf Squad #1 120 pts
    HWT with autocannon
    Gren. Launcher
    Chimera

    Inf Squad #2 120 pts

    I like this list. If I had two more Chimeras I might even try it out. The only thing I think I would do is remove two Grenade Launchers from the infantry and give the vet squad its 3rd meltagun.

    Others will probably be more helpfull!

    CCS needs a chimera more than your vets., plus taking off your grenade launchers. personally i think you need to take off your chimeras from your infantry squads. grab another infantry squad with an autocannon HWT and then get antoehr PCS with 4x melta guns and give them a chimera and give your other PCS 4x melta guns and upgrade your CCS with 3x plasma if at all possible and a regimental standard. The regimental standard comes first over your plasma.

    Apart from that, it's quite solid and competitive.

    Nice to see a Mech army that isn't all Vets.

    HQ:
    Why are these boys on foot whilst the rest of the Army is in a chimera? seems odd to me. Grab them a Chimera and if you can, grab them some Melta guns so all your heavy hitting dreams aren't resting on that lone Vet squad.

    TROOPS:

    All fine here. I'd change the PCS to have G-Launchers though. You can keep firing whilst moving around the enemy which is rather handy.

    HEAVY:
    Fine.

    Hydras are brilliant in mech. They fill an important role of transport killing which mech lists sometimes have troube with. you've got Squads with Autocannons but more Dakka is not something you should be ignoring. Maybe drop a squad for a Hydra?

    Thanks for the answers, got some ideas from those. Hydra might do the trick, removing the third infantry squad would give me points to equip it and also provide vets with third melta and some extra weapons for the rest. Also the PCS grenade launchers is an option, i always forget that they are assault weapons.

    HQ is not in chimera because i run out of points, also they work as a sniper squad with BS 4 and BiD order they should do some damage with lascannon.

    On the opponent subject, my friends have little bit of everything, Orks, IG, SM, Necrons, Tau... So the list needs little tweaking for every game.

    Me too, I play alot of Necromunda and back in 2nd Ed rules a G-Launcher is a Heavy weapon. Go figure!

    Thats fine use of a CCS. It just doesn't sit well in my brain though...
