So I have signed up for the local Tournament and have put this shooty list together, I'm not a very experienced player and this list is stretching the limits of my collection, so I realize that not all my choices are not optimal. But if any glaring deficiencies could be pointed out that would be great.
-Terminator Armour, Storm Shield
10x Tactical Squad 205
-with free missile launcher and flamer, W/ Rhino
10x Tactical Squad 210
-with free missile launcher and Melta, w/Rhino
5x Scout Snipers 100
-with Camo Cloaks, and Missile Launcher
10x Terminators 430
-with Cyclone Missile Launcher
5x Assault Terminators 200
-TH + SS
-with multi melta
-heavy bolter sponsons.
Land Raider Crusader 260
it seems ok, but i think too many points have been soaked up by those termies.
id rather save 200 points take a vindicator and a pimped up land speeder or something.
hell, if its a shooty army i wouldnt go for the assault terminators id go for for 2 thunderfire cannons or more heavy support (dont forget you can free up a heavy slot by taking the lad raider as a dedicated transport!)

Predator with heavy bolters are 85 points not 95.
Also, I personally love sternguard, possibly the most versatile shooty unit in the codex, if you can get some of them in you list.
I agree with the above, if you want shooty, then the assualt terms are a bit iffy.

I am also unsure about the 10 regular Termies. How about dropping 5 and the Librarian and adding in a Captain and command squad and razorback?
I've never used sternguard and don't understand how people keep them out of combat, but I have considered getting some, probably wont have time to get them painted up before the tourney though.

If your going for a shooty army I would probably drop 5 of the termi's, but still keep five with either the AC or CML. I personally like the CML although alot of people dont. As for adding a captain and a command squad thats one thing I wouldnt do. I would keep the libby as pys protection. The storm shield is a little overkill though. Probably dont have it, but another good thing to consider would be combat squad the tacs, drop the rhinos and replace with razorbacks. If you dont have the models for the razorbacks then maybe in the future. Put TLLC on the razorbacks for extra armour pen support. Other than that not sure what you have or the overall strategy your going for. Dropping the assault termi's for some Thunderfire's is a good idea. For the tourny if this is about all you got the list looks fairly ok. The ten man shooty termi should do some serious damage. Well hope I helped.

I perfeer taking devastators with 4 heavy bolters over predator with heavy bolters.
Space marines 6 dread army Wins: 4 ties:2 Loses:7 Modified Standard nilla marines Wins:37 Ties:8 Loses 42 Daemonhunters Wins:3 Ties:0 Loses:1 Full assualt concept army wins: 6 Ties: none Loses: 2
I do have the bits for one razorback, but I like the versatility of rhinos to carry the full squad especially in annihilation missions. I consider a devestator squad with Missile Launcher, but they cost twice as much as the Pred, and the Predator increases the number of tanks the enemy is facing.
