    1500 point tourny infantry list

    well im going to to try taking an IG infantry heavy but still balanced guard list to a tournament and wonder if anyone could offer advice

    HQ
    Company command squad
    -2x plasma gun
    camo cloaks

    fast attack
    Hellhound

    Troop
    PCS

    Infantry squad
    -Autocannon
    -grenade launcher

    Infantry squad
    -lascannon
    -commissar
    -grenade launcher

    (using combined squads of course)

    why the sponsons you ask well the plasma cannon give the demolisher some extra teeth which can finish off an infantry squad or give you that added punch to finish the job on a light tank the bolter sponsons beacause i needed to kill the points. i have used this list to great success against eldar and necrons before and am looking to tweek it before a tournament in a few weeks so. advice, comments, suggestions por favor.

    HQ: Looks good.

    TROOPS:
    Platoons. I'd ditch one Platoon so you can afford another Chimera Vet squad. Other than that i'd loose the Lascannons and just grab Autocannons as well. Autocannons do just as well against enemy tanks of 10-12 than Lascannons do.

    HEAVY:
    Not a Fan of Sponsons as you really should try and keep moving with them. I'd consider turning the Russ with No sponsons into another Demolisher and Loosing the Sponsons on the existing Demolisher.

    ok changed a few things as you suggested ditched a whole platoon put four squads in one and will just combine two and two of the squads which saves me a potential killpoint and the thirty points of a second PCS, grabbed the extra chimelta squad as well, dropped the bolter sponsons on the russ however kept the plasmas on the demolisher, with the lumbering behemoth rule i can still fire one and move which in the game i tested this list in this weekend proved to be invaluable (that sponson actually finished a rather deadly eldar unit after the main cannon left two standing) so i did keep that, however with this tweak i am left with 75 points and have no idea how to spend them. any suggestions would be helpful
