I am brand new to Black Templars and was looking for some advice on a list. I've tried to make it totally capable of handling mech, without actually having any of my own. This way they waste all their anti-mech weapons which almost everyone packs.
So, without much further ado.
Emporer's Champion, AACNMTO
- joined to squad alpha
- joined to squad beta
Helbrecht, with a command squad of 5 initiates and 4 neophytes. Apothecary, 2 melta guns and a drop pod.
All with the furious charge special rule.
5 terminators, 2 with assault cannons.
Tank Hunter special rule
Squad Alpha - 10 initiates, 10 neophytes, melta and powerfist.
Squad Beta - 10 initiates, 10 neophytes, melta and powerfist.
8 man assault squad - melta bombs
5 man bike squad - 2 power weapons
3 bikes w. 1 melta, 1 attack bike w. multi-melta
Total 2003 points. Idea is to use the drop pods as troubleshooters, with Helbrecht to probably focus on a tank. I've tried to make it so there are lots of anti-tank options but even if there is no mech the units can still be useful (mostly). Plan is to march towards them and hope that around the time we meet in the middle the drop pods are ready. So let me know what you think! Thanks in advance.

I would really appreciate advice. I'm going to start buying things for my list soon and want to know how it would go. Pretty please?
