This is my first Guard list, and I think there could be some improvements. Punisher's for anti-infantry, while the devil dog's a pure tank killer. My plan for the CCS is to keep it still at the back of the line, near the veterans to issue FRFSRF and fire endless artillery barrages at the enemy. I'll be keeping my PCS near the infantry squads ready for orders as well.
HQ: CCS, Vox, Sniper, Master of Ordnance - 90pts
Techpriest Enginseer, 4 Servitors - 105 pts
Troops: Infantry Platoon, Grenade Launcher, Flamer, 3 vox-casters - 155pts
Veteran Squad, Grenade Launcher, Missile Launcher - 90pts
Fast Attack: Devil Dog, Multi-Melta - 135pts
Heavy Support: Leman Russ Punisher, Heavy Bolter Sponsons - 200pts
Total: 775 pts
HQ: Take a standard and several GLs. drop the vox.
Elites: Drop him for 2 chimeras.
Troops: Take a PCS flamers and a chimera. Let the CCS deal with the platoon squads using better orders and the standard to keep them happy. Squads should take AC+GL. Vets are better with 3xmelta in a chimera with HF on the hull.
Fast: OK but a vendetta would be better for the points. It has great AT firepower and can keep the range more open and even outflank.
Heavy: Demolisher with no sponsons and possibly a hull LC. Or a standard russ with no sponsons or plasma sponsons depending on points you have left.
