    1700 competitive with al rahem(?)

    I need some help on my army list since i'm losing to the most unexperirnced players in my club, so I want to make my list from a fun list to a more competitive list. But here comes the hardest part: Al'Rahem must be in it.

    This is the list I had in mind:

    CCS: lascannon, standard, astropath 115

    PCS: Al'Rahem, 4 flamers, chimera ML/HF 175
    infantry squad: PW, melta, commisar with PW 115
    infantry squad: PW, melta 70

    PCS: 2 GL's, AC 50
    infantry squad: GL, AC 65
    infantry squad: GL, AC 65
    infantry squad: GL, AC 65
    infantry squad: GL, AC 65

    veteran squad: 3 melta's 100

    banewulf: HF, smoke 135

    valkyrie: 2 MRP's 130

    2 s. sentinels: AC 80

    demolisher: HF 165

    demolisher: HF 165

    collosus 140

    1700 points total

    Honestly the list isn't all that bad. The biggest thing I see is a lack of troop mobility and only 1 dedicated anti-tank unit. What is the the you are having trouble with the most?

    HQ

    A single lascannon in the CCS isn't going to do much and it looks like you're using him for orders. Maybe opt the lascannon out for an autocannon and camocloaks.

    Troops

    Personally I'm not a fan of Al'Rahem, but if you use him, I'd beef up that platoon a little more with another squad or two like the rest. Commissar, Meltas, and PW's look good. That is a combined 20-man squad right?

    Second platoon looks good, if lacking in mobility.

    Veterans need a transport, preferably one they can shoot out of as they are your only anti-tank. A second of these or stormtrooper squad with meltas in chimeras (or DS) would help.

    Fast Attack

    Banewolves mess up marines something evil, but they tend to die after driving up and hosing down an opponent. I prefer the standard hellhound, but to each their own.

    What is the valkyrie carrying? I'd swap it for a vendetta as you pretty much have anti-horde/infantry covered. You need the anti-tank.

    2 Autocannon sentinels are good, personally I feel a second vendetta would be better.

    Heavy

    Honestly this looks fine to me. Only thing is maybe finding the points to bump the collosus up to an eradicator.

    thnx for the advice, I have been play testing with it in mind.

    the lascannon uses BID for an almost garantined hit, so it can do some damage on transports and maybe even heavier vehicles

    it was indeed an 20-man combined squad, but I'll add another squad, so the pw are more protected

    i took away an squad from the stationary platoon and the GL's of the PCS to free up some points

    as for the vets they go in the valkyrie and fly to a tank and kill it, the reason why I don't use an vendetta is that my AT wil be in one unit.

    i changed the bane wolf for an helhound with an multi-melta for some AT use

    i keep the collosus for objective clearing it will almost clear it complete if MEQ's are standing on it

    so this is the revised list
