    2500 Ard Boyz Tournament List Help Wanted

    What do you guys think of this build for a ard boyz tournament?

    -dreadnoughts are best in specialist roles. Either go all long ranged weapons, or set them up for close combat and give them pods. Note that 2 TL autocannons are excellent for popping transports, especially since a dreadnought can move and fire everything
    -As much as it pains me to admit it, AC/LC preds just aren't as hot in vanilla as they are in BA. Drop them for vindicators
    -you can easily drop a tactical squad or 2 to free up some points where you need them. You really only need a single squad of objective sitters
    -likewise, you can just as easily drop a couple guys off of the bike squads. It's a case of Less is More, since they take up such a big footprint on the table.
    -consider getting some typhoon speeders. they're fragile, but the mobility and firepower makes them excellent units for opening up transports.

    Everything can combat squad so I thought that the bikes would be ok with there footprint. 3 Tacticals is probably to much because of combat squads (I'm used to playing chaos) I'm thinking of dropping 1 tactical for a librarian because I would like a psyhic hood in the army, I know 1 player at the tournament to run double lash princes, 1 Blood angle player with 2 furios librarian dreads, 1 player playing eldar, 1 player playiong double nurgle warp time princes.

    Is the libbi worth it?

    I wouldn't take a Librarian in this case, I would try to make the points for an Inquisitor w/ Retinue. From what you said I can see a lot of psychic abilities going off, and that unlimited range hood would do wonders.

    The Inquisitor is a really good Idea but I can't get the models for saturday for sure. So a libby worth it anyways? I've never used one before that's why i'm asking.

    Librarians are good, but only as a support character. They lost a lot of their beefyness when 5th edition came out.

    Here is my updated list. Added a libbi, changed the rhinos to razorbacks with hunter-killer missiles, added 2 attack bikes with heavy bolters. All by dropping a tactical squad. What do you guys think of this list?

    Juste to let you guys know, I finished first with this army list in my area.

    Played against a blood angel with 6 dreads, 2 baals predators and a land raider crusader in first round. Major victory
    Played a necron with 3 moniliths, a deceiver, a lord with orb, 15 destroyers in the second round. Massacre
    Played a CSM with double lash sorcerers, double defiler, 3 obliteratores, 2 plague marine units, 2 dreads, 3 CSM with icon of khorne in round 3. Massacre.
