Right, I've tried posting a shootier list in 2000 points before and failed miserably, so I'm trying a smaller list to see how I do with the play style.
Librarian (Force Dome, The Avenger) - 100
10x Tactical - Flamer, Missile, Powerfist, Meltabombs - 200
Rhino - 35
5x Scouts - Sniper Rifles, Heavy bolter, Camo Cloaks - 100
5x Sternguard - Meltagun - 130
Razorback - Twin Linked Lascannon - 75
Dreadnough - Twin Linked Lascannon, Heavy Flamer - 140
Drop Pod - 35
Land Speeder - Multi Melta, Typhoon Missile Launcher - 100
Whirlwind - 85
General Plan is to use my transports to my advantage, in order to remove enemy transports early on and develop control over the battlefield. This is an effective tactic in order to take objectives at the right time, and make sure my opponent can't get to them. In kill points missions, this allows me to manage my targets more effectively by cutting off my opponents more dangerous units, allowing me to focus on the targets that I need to.
Thanks in advance for any comments.

You have tons of firepower but only two scoring units, one of which is immobile. Personal, I would trade some firepower for more marines. That will both make your army harder to kill and will allow you to cover more then two objectives.
I'm also not sure about the lascannon on the dread. He'll be deepstriking so I don't think he'll need the range, and therefore would be safe with an assault cannon or multi melta.
Thanks for the post, it seems I never get any
I'm considering dropping the Speeder and taking Kantor over the Librarian; this gives me access to another Scoring unit - only 5 strong, but with such firepower I shouldn't have a problem playing careful for a turn or two (at the end OR beginning). The speeder is normally one of the more destructive units, on the other hand, I could always drop the Drop Pod on the Dreadnought and swap the Razorback out for a Rhino to carry my Sternguard (this frees up 75 points) to allow me to take another Tactical Squad in place of the rather static Scouts. The thing is, I don't mind a static unit that is designed to be static, what I'm not a fan of is taking tactical Squads which are going to end up walking themselves - these are designed to be our most reliable, all-round units, and walking... isn't reliable. I might make a complete re-mix of this army to include the other tactical squad and see how much better it would work. It'd probably look, in short, something like this:
Lib (The Avenger, Gate of Infinity) - 100
Tac Squad w/ Powerfist, Missile, Flamer, Rhino - 230
Tac Squad w/ Powerfist, Multi-melta, Flamer, Drop Pod - 230
5 Stern's - 125
Dread w/ TL-Las, H. Flamer - 140
Speeder w/ 2x Missiles, H. Bolter - 90
Whirlwind - 85
This adds a lot more models to my army in the form of the second tactical squad, but to compensate for the points, I would take Gate on my Librarian. Gating Sternguard is fun, but a Pod or Razor is normally more reliable. This also sacrifices some firepower in the form of a TL Lascannon from the Razor and a Multimelta on my Speeder, purely tos ave points. I also lose a lot to pop heavy tanks, hence the Multi-Melta on my second Tactical Squad. I put a Pod on the second unit because I just, don't have a Rhino for them yet (this is a new Marine army, my old one looks horrible xD). The Pod is quite effective at eliminating enemy threats nice and early - lots of enemies are nice and susceptible to good old bolter fire.
Also, although it might cover two more effectively than the first list, this still only covers two objective - I'm not a big fan of scouts, I'm just a "moar shinies" player, (apart from at least one tactical squad) I will always choose my shinies before my troops in this size game - probably not very advisable, I know!
