This isn't really a full army list as such but more of an idea for a general Army build. O am basically wondering whether it could be reasonably competitive against most opponents. It doesn't have to be totally maxed out, uber, Kil everyone, but has to be able to cope in a semi competitive environment.
It is based around two battle forces and a couple of extra boxes
Two squads of ten tac marines in rhinos
Ten assault marines
Ten death company in
A storm raven
With a death company dreadnought
Maybe some sanguinary priests, chaplain, and sanguinary guard
That whole lot is two battle forces, storm raven, dreadnought and the character blisters
Sanguinor doesn't really seem to fit in here to me - what's he going to be doing, flying alone alongside the vehicles? You'd be better off with an IC, who can get inside one of the transports (personally, I'd recommend a Reclusiarch to go with the DC as it'll add a lot of oomph to it's CC potential)
My only strong feeling is that a second Stormraven would be a good idea, for the redundancy. Its armor isn't that hard for the average opponent to get through.
How do you feel about putting the DC in a Drop Pod? They would make a nice distraction for the enemy as your vehicles advance. They won't survive, of course, but pressuring your opponent from the start can be useful.

Mmm...a reclusiarch eh? I can see why you think that. I guess the sanguinor doesn't really fit the theme as he would have no one to deep strike with. I think I'll do that. With the spare points, and if i cut a couple in other places, then I can get a baal predator with flame storm cannon, which would be nice.
I did think about putting the dc in a drop pod but then I thought it was quite a of points to spend on a sacrifice squad.
I would probably put a second storm raven in 2000 pts but if I put one in 1500 then i would be spending nearly a third of my points in two, armour 12 vehicles.
So to make it 2000 i would add the second storm raven, and get a second ten man assault squad.
As for tactics, the army is based around objective taking. The death company would go and destroy anyone on one of the objectives. The two tac squads would go for 1 objective, and the assault squad and Baal for the other. After dropping off the dc ten the storm raven would use it's speed and multi purpose weaponry ( tl multi melta, tl assault cannon, and hurricane bolters) to help where it was needed.
When nearing the end of the game. The baal and raven. Would go flat out to contest, the death company would be mopping up, assault Squad would run For an objective, and one of the tac squad would go for another..
What do you think? Any more serious flAwes with army list or tactics?
Sorry, double post
