heavy weapons squad 60
3 missile launchers
ratling squad 30
What you guys think? its good for horde army's bc of the flamers, good for tanks bc of meltas and missile launchers and that would do good for space Marians and other vehicles spam and some snipers to try to pin down enemy's. its simple clean and most of all foot guard. (i just wanted vets for there bs so a grater chance of using the meltas.) or should i drop the vets and just get another heavy weapons squad with lascannon and build up from there?
Lots of short-range weaponry and no way to deliver them. I see a big issue with this. An enemy just needs to sit back and shoot at you, first the heavy weapons, then the PCS and CCS. HWS is very easy to kill just by torrent or strength 6 or better. The 5-man squads just need to be shot at by bolters a bit as they try to advance.
I really don't see this list performing well. You need to get them close to the enemy first. If you get locked in assault they don't even matter anymore. Its good for horde army's bc of the flamers

Need to get them to the enemy first, they will be very easy to avoid. That and you only have 2 of them in the entire list......meh. And again if you end up in combat they are useless.Considering this is your only long-range threat, they are going to be hit hard right from the beginning. Not that big of a threat either as they can only hit one unit per turn at BS3. You might want to hide these out in infantry squads instead. Much harder to kill and you can shoot at more than 1 target per turn.Missile launchers and that would do good for space Marians and other vehicles spamSnipers suck in 5th edition and 3 ratlings aren't going to do a thing. You're looking at .889 dead marines a turn or 1.111 guardsmen per turn......and that's if they don't have cover. Pinning almost never goes off either as a lot of things have high leadership, are fearless, or have some way to ignore it. Save the points and get something useful.Snipers to try to pin down enemy'sI think you're trying to do way too much with this list. Tone it down a bit and focus it a bit more. More synergy in the list would also be great.Or should i drop the vets and just get another heavy weapons squad with lascannon and build up from there?
i play this when im fighting in heavy terrain so i put them in building and let them come to me. i know as a guard i should be charging forward but with the saves im getting lately and luck (which i have a lot) i did do good with a tyranid force but your right the ratlings are prity useless. but if i rely on luck alone your right this list is prity bland. im working out a new list as soon as i have time. thanks for the feedback.
Hockeyman made most of the points that I would have, save one. At minimum I would suggest that you put the meltas in the CCS so that they can benefit from their BS of 4. The PCS is a better place for flamers.
