The list is illegal as you don't have 2 troop choice. As it stands, you don't even have 1 legal troop choice on the field.

An infantry platoons consists of a Platoon Command Squad (PCS) and 2 Infantry Squads (IS) as a minimum. So you need PCS to bring you up to 1 troop choice.

Check the codex heading for Infantry Platoon and it spells out what all must/can be taken.

Yup this means that 1 PCS, 5 IS, 5 HWS, and 3 SWS count as one troops choice.

I'm not really sure why you're posting this here. If its just a casual list, that doesn't have any specific fluff in mind then theres not a lot we can really help you with.

Anyhow, take a PCS as Hockeyman said, and maybe some vets or another platoon for your other troops choice. Its generally not a good idea to squadron vehicles if you can help it, so use the sentinels in three seperate slots. The regimental standard will never get used if all your infantry are in transports so you may want to re-think this. I'm afriad that sniper rifles are pretty useless in the current rules as well, especially if you only have one. I'd take some grenade launchers or plasma instead. Ogryns are also one of the worst units in the codex. They are expensive and bounce right off other dedicated assault units, and without a chimera will go down easily to shooting.

While I do agree, there is a certain silly element of fun in having Yarrick and 5 Ogryn doing drivebys in a Chimera. I have toyed with the idea of trying to come up with hiver gang tats for Ogryn to make this more likely.

Yarrick + Ogryns in a Chimera is as close as we come to a deathstar. It's horribly overcosted of course but it sounds hilarious and ridiculous. Something good is sure to come of it!

Cut the vox, if inf are in a transport they can't receive orders anyway.

@Hockeyman506 I can't see anywhere in the codex or the rule book where it says that the Infantry Squads must be part of an Infantry platoon.

@ChadMS I don't have any points to take a PCS, if I did I might, but this list is 1000 points on the dot, and I don't want to go any bigger than that. Also I suppose I could take the Sentinels seperatley, they would be a bit more useful after all.

@Korona I was going to use the Chimera's to get them around the board a bit quicker and safer, they'd still be out enough to get orders.

If anyone has anymore suggestions, don't suggest changing the Command Squad or one of the Infantry Squads, I've already got them modelled and primed. (Some painted too.)

Check your codex again. The entire platoon is a single troop choice. A platoon *MUST* contain at minimum:

    A Platoon Command Squad

    2 x Infantry squad.

I've looked but I can't see anywhere that it says that I have to have the PCS, I'm not saying anyone is lying, I just can't seem to find it. If anyone could point me to the specific page that'd be great.

Edit: Nevermind I found it. I'll see how I can change the list to make room for a PCS.

Yup, you're going to have to lose some stuff out of that list to make room for more troops.

Page 96 at the top under the Infantry Platoon heading:

Composition: 1 Platoon Command Squad, 2-5 Infantry Squads,...........
At minimum for one platoon you need a PCS and two Infantry Squads. After that you need to find a second troop choice.
