So I wanted to do a Saim Hann list but with marines. And Yes it is Melta heavy. The only question I have is if I add a Attack Bike to each squad does it make the squad at 5 or 6 marines?

The attack bike is still 1 model, and thus is only counted once for determining if you can buy the squad as a troop.

Speaking of which, why is that last bike unit listed as an FA selection? You've got a troops choice free still.

If you can free up the points, a couple small missile teams would do you some good.

To answer your question, it would put the squad at 6 marines. The attack bike is a "Unit Attachment" not an upgrade for a current biker. The first major problem I see is the power weapons. If a Biker army gets into combat, it's game over anyways, power weapons or no. Drop them in favor of more bikes and Speeders. The scouts *can* work with a list like this, snagging home objectives, but I would drop them in favor of more bikes. Remember, a bike can turbo-boost 24", so on your last turn you should be able to capture or contest any objective on the board. Next, drop the Multi-Melta's on the Speeders. When equipped as such there's a confusion of roles. The MM says "I want to be within 12" of my enemy's" (Which is not a desirable place to be for an armor 10 vehicle) and the Typhoon missile launcher says "I want to be 36" away from my enemies at all times". On the whole, dropping the scouts and the mm, you will be able to get another 2 Typhoons, or another Biker squad, or a Plasma command squad! Now isn't that exciting!

Bike command squads are great, and work very well with plasma and an apothecary. Not to mention it gives some neat conversion ideas and a nice centerpiece for you army. A good thing to consider.

Updated list. I'm not sold on the Command Squad. So I moved around some stuff. I like haveing more bikes & speeder in the army. Should I give some of the speeders tornado patterns or what?

The second list is infinitely better. Similar to my Biker list, except I don't use a Libby. Instead, I prefer more Typhoons, and a few Plasma Guns.

I would put some plasma into the list but every time I use one it scatter's away from target or back on my own guys.

bikes can't take plasma cannons so i fail to see how they scatter. If you mean they "overheat" and fry your own guys that way then I understand. If that is the case, stop using chessex or GW dice. They are proven to roll 1's around 25% of the time (depending on quality). Dice with pips and rounded corners suck.

I also agree the second list looks much better. Should be fun.
