Obviously this is just a casual fluff list, which unfortunately needs Coteaz to make it work.
-Malleus Inquisitor, daemonblade, psyker, hammerhand-70
1-Warband: 2 jokaeko, 3 servitors, 7 warriors- 128
2-Warband: 1 Banisher w/eviscerator, 3 Crusaders, 3 Death cultists, 2 Flagellants (1 unit with 3), Rhino-170 & 185
2-Warband:3 melta warriors, 7 psykers, 2 normal warriors, Chimera ML+Hfalmer-170.
I have about 90 points left, It seems like maybe putting a flamer in each of the Assault bands might be worth while, but I am not certain.
Otherwise I might change the Jokaero units weapons to heavy bolters, as I kind of feel like the chimeltas might be enough for anti tank...(my play group tries to avoid all vehicle lists, but we are slowly moving in that direction)
The strategy is to put Coteaz with the Jokaero and the servitors for Heavy vehicle destruction.
Run the Malleus INQ up with in the rhino warband with only nine guys, with the eversor following those two rhinos for cover.
The Callidus will jump in to take out Heavy weapon squads, and the the Chimeltas will drive around bombing vehicles.
Vindicare just kills whatever seems fun to kill.
What would you do with the last points, and is there anything that is lame (other than taking 3 assassins, and not using any GKs)?
Hmm. This is incredibly similar to a list I want to run. Without changing your list too much, here is what I would do.
Inquisitor, i'd swap him out for a Xenos Inquisitor with Hammerhand, Rad Grenades, and maybe Psychotroke. The Daemonblade is just way too random for my liking (Plus, you already have a Force Weapon, at S4 because of Hammerhand. Rad Grenades make that essentially S5.) Also, Servo Skulls! For less than 10 points you can have three of the little beauties, which are fun to screw up peoples deployment with.
I have a long standing argument with myself as to whether the Jokaero are worth taking. 70 points, to upgrade 30 points worth of shots? Its a personal preference I suppose, and I have yet to pick mine. I would probably swap to HBs, as you said you have a fair bit of AT.
The Banisher warbands are nice, they can deal with pretty much anything. People may disagree with me here, but I like the combination of different units. As an extra thing here, if you have the Rad Grenades from a Xenos Inquisitor, and hammerhand, your Arcos are Insta-Killing Marine characters if they are unlucky enough to fail an armour save, which is always a nice little thing to have.
As for the Melta Warbands, i'd probably drop one Psyker (Do you really need S9? S8 AP 1 seems good enough to me!), and the warriors, and take as many Crusaders as you have the points left for, before filling the squad with warriors.
Just my little ideas. I have yet to actually start my Inquisitorial list, so take it all with a pinch of salt.
Rork: In the dark future of the 41st millennium there is only friendship.
Fenrir: and magic.
Kaiser-: My Little Chaos Marine, Friendship is Heresy?
I agree my Inquisitor isn't the best, but he is what makes the list radical so I don't really want to drop him. I thought I was getting up to strength 10 AP 1, but I guess the first doesn't add one to the shots strength so either add or subtract one; good idea. I am Thinking the Jokaero to increase the range of the Multi-meltas (Ideally). If I switch to heavy bolters I would definitely drop them for more servitors. And I don't think it is a mixed unit because it is all Close combat unit it isn't like I am adding a bunch of warriors with boltguns. Thanks for the thoughts.
