    1500pts balanced

    HQ:
    CCS+LasC+vox = 75

    TROOPS:
    Infantry platoon
    ..PCS+LasC+Vox+GL 60
    ..Infantry Squad + AutoC+vox+GL 70
..combined with another IS equipped the same way except vox 65
    ..IS + HeavyB +vox + GL 70
..combined with another IS equipped the same way except vox 65

3x Veteran squad +3x melta +Power weap 110 <- will embark in a vendetta each

    FAST ATTACK
    3x vendetta 390

    HEAVY SPT
    2x hydra 150
    Leman Russ Demolisher 165

    Fluff:
    1. i know that the veterans should go in a chimera. I do not care, i am here to have fun not to build the N-th 6x vets + chimera ubercompetitive list or likes
    2. I like the infantry blob. I WANT the infantry blob. A IG army without a good sized blob is against its nature. And i do not want this

    Basic strategy:
Destroy enemy transports and light vehicles with hydras and autocannons
Destroy heavy targets with the vendettas and veterans
Soak up damages with the always moving LRBD demol
Saturate the field with the blob's fire and heavybolters

    As simple as that
feel free to criticize and suggest, but keep in mind the fluff section above. Strategy can be changed of course.

Not bad, though I'm curious about the heavy bolters. Why take them at all? You already have more than enough anti-infantry ability, I'd stick with the autocannons.

i would use that IS as anti infantry.
AC are pretty much an overkill for GEQ units!
anyway i can swap them, no problems.

i have 60 points to spend:
i was thinking about 6 ratlings, or take out 2 grenade launcher and add 2 commissars or take out 5 gl and add a lord commissar with a power fist. i like the first and third option...

I find it peculiar that you, on the one hand, complain about melta vets in Chimeras, but choose to take Vendettas and Hydras. But no matter.

Meltas in Vendettas aren't especially useful. As a Vendetta tends to hang back and shoot from afar. While meltas need to get close in order to do their work. So let's drop the birds entirely.

Here's the version of your idea that I would take:

    HQ
120 Company Command Squad w/2 x Plasma, Lascannon, Regimental Standard, Krak Grenades

    Troops
125 Platoon Command Squad w/4 x Melta, Chimera (Hull Heavy Flamer)
    60 + Infantry Squad w/Autocannon
    60 + Infantry Squad w/Autocannon
125 Platoon Command Squad w/4 x Melta, Chimera (Hull Heavy Flamer)
    60 + Infantry Squad w/Autocannon
    60 + Infantry Squad w/Autocannon
    135 Veteran Squad w/3 x Plasma, Lascannon
    135 Veteran Squad w/3 x Plasma, Lascannon

    Fast Attack
    145 Hellhound w/Hull Multi-Melta
    145 Hellhound w/Hull Multi-Melta

    Heavy Support
165 Leman Russ Demolisher w/Hull Heavy Flamer
165 Leman Russ Battle Tank w/Hull Lascannon

    Total: 1500 points

The PCS Chimeras, the Demolisher, and the Hellhounds are your objective grabbers. While the rest of the army stands back and shoots.

your list looks pretty solid i admit but i have a couple of questions:
why are the pcs embarked and sent on front line, cc-like duty? aren't they more valuable near the IS, giving orders?
why the plasmas? i do not want to risk a 25 point model for a self-wound!

    thank you for your answer!

I'll take a stab at this one. PCS orders are pretty weak. The potent orders (Fire on my target!, Bring it down!, and Get Back in the fight!) are reserved for CCS.

PCS are a cheap alternative to meltavet squads that produce the same expected results (2 melta hits) with a higher positive potential (4 melta hits).

Plasmas are rapid fire. This gives twice as many shots as meltas for killing TEQs, They also have a 24 in range which is nice for a static shooting posture. This compliments the squad lascannon. Lots of AP2 in these squads.
Praise the Emperor and pass the promethium!

The PCS squads have objective duty because you don't like Vet Chimeras. Someone has to go forward and grab objectives, and PCS squads are not only cheap but will put the same number of melta hits on target (on average) as Vets with a higher luck upside. Plus they can order themselves to run when needed. So put them behind the Hellhounds and push forward on a flank.

The CCS has all the orders needed to twin-link your blob autocannons. While they and the Vets have the BS4 needed to make the lascannons reliable. Put the blobs in front and the vets behind them. When Marines/Nobs/Nids hit your line, shoot them down with the Plasma Guns. Yes, killing yourself sucks, but that's the price you pay for all that AP2 that the big nasties hate. It's not the best way to use Vets, but it works well enough for a fun mid-level build.

If you want some more fun, drop a Vet Squad and take Marbo + a squad of Rough Riders.

I just choked on my coffee! Friends don't let friends buy Rough Riders!!!

But yes, Marbo has a fun-factor.

Actually, a Static CCS can actually take a Master of Ordinance... Heck, why not?
