    cost effective semi-competitive? 2000

Ok, so I am interested in collecting Grey Knights, but I dont have a whole lot of money to spend. I was wondering whether I could run a GKT and dreadknight list, something like the following:

    HQ: xxx

    Grand Master. xxx
    - upgrades..?

    Troops: 970

    10 GKT. 485
    - 2 psycannons
    - 2 Deamon Hammers
    - 6 halberds
    - warding stave
    - psybolt ammo

    10 GKT. 485
    - 2 psycannons
    - 2 Deamon Hammers
    - 6 halberds
    - warding stave
    - psybolt ammo

    Heavy Support: 705

    Dreadknight. 235
    - Heavy Incinerator
    - Personal Teleporter

    Dreadknight. 235
    - Heavy Incinerator
    - Personal Teleporter

    Dreadknight. 235
    - Heavy Incinerator
    - Personal Teleporter

Ok, so far thats 1675 points without the GM, since I dont exactly know what upgrades to give him. Any ideas?

Also, assuming he is around 185-220, that will leave me with ~110 points left to spend, with nothing I can really use it for. Again, any ideas? Since I am quite lost as to how to go about the rest of the list

    Thanks in advance,

    ~ZhuPei

I'd drop the warding staves. Give the GM a MC Sword, Psycannon, and Rad Grenades for 240. Then pick up a Vindicare.

Comes out to 2k exactly by my figuring.

On a side note it is similar to my 2k DriagoWing list, though you have more bodies on the table, psybolt ammunition, with room for a Vindicare to boot. I wouldn't expect this list to be winning tournaments, but when well played it'll do quite well against most opponents.
What makes 40k fun is that sometimes, if we do it just right and lady luck smiles on us, rock will kick the **** out of paper. And thats the way it should be.
