    1750pt Tournament List - Henchmen

    So I decided to have a go writing a Corteaz/Henchmen list that I would like to build to take to tournaments next year, so looking for comp scores and C&C.

    I have been considering dropping 1 dread and upping the other 2 to venerable for a little more survivability, or dropping a dread to take a techmarine for HH on a single DCA unit + bolster defences to up the cover on Corteaz' unit + other 2 dreads......?

    I would drop all rhinos for chimeras, even on the purifiers although they would need to deploy on table then dive into the chimera of the HB servitor unit. The extra firepower of the ML+HF combination plus the extra point of front armour will help a lot.

    To free up points drop a purifier and a DCA or warrior from each squad.

    I couldn't agree more with Mad cat. Chimera's are great vehicle purchases. Much more reliable transport platforms.

    Another option would be to add 3 meltas to the warriors in each DCA squad in effect making them dual purpose squads able to take on tanks or infantry. 3 melta shots before you charge infantry can also help.

    To free up points drop the psykers and take 4-5 squads of DCA+3 meltas. Any points left over add storm bolters to the warriors in the jokero's unit or even a few plasma guns.

    Im quite happy with the list. I like to keep units as single purpose, so mid game I dont talk myself into doing something stupid with them and forget why I actually took them in the first place. Im also not too sure on the chimeras for the DCA units, im just not too comfortable with having only a single access/exit point... it becomes very easy to block and wreck... but I will give it a try and see what tickles my fancy, thanks for the advice guys.
