Hey y'all! Figured I'd come over to this part of the forum, been a while, and while I'm at it see what you think of my kill team list. Vanilla marines, only wanting to buy 2 boxes of Scouts, and ONLY Scouts. I'm a fluffy player, not one that thinks winning is all-important. Also, I love Splinter Cell... but you've probably guessed that already.
Mostly I'm unsure about weapon load-outs, and whether to Camo Cloak them. Was thinking:
5 Scouts with Snipers and Cloaks
5 Scouts with Shotguns and Cloaks
Or should I be giving Sergeants anything? Two M. Launchers? All Snipers?
Your thoughts appreciated!
If someone helps you, rep them.
In a votewar you don't vote on a single match, you vote on the entire round. Got that?
~shrug~ I really don't know anything about kill team, especially in terms of FOC requirements and point limits...but I was thinking dark angels scouts would serve you better than C:UM scouts...they're classified as elites, but their shotties are S4, and their statlines are better than C:UM scouts. I think they might be more expensive, too...
Anyway, my opinion of scouts is that they should either be snipers or have BP/CCW. Shotties give them more oomph on the charge, but in any combat lasting more than a single phase, the bonus attack for the pistol/sword combo is better. Not to mention that the shotties are more likely than boltpistols to panic the enemy out of charge range and get your scouts shot up for being caught out in the open. I'd go with one unit with boltpistol and chainsword, and on unit with sniper rifles...give the sniper rifle unit a missile launcher, and give the sergeant of the pistol/sword unit the best melee kit you can.

It's not bad, but not fantastic.
My own KT armies are 5 scouts and 5 sternguard - it makes for a nasty combination.
