shrike (gives whole army fleet and allows joined unit to be rock hard scouts.)
2x 10 scouts with fist 1x unit melta bombs (first turn assault)
5 marines in lascannon razorback (sitting back holding an objective and supplying support fire.)
2x th/ss termies in land raiders (deploy sideways, turn, then fleeting th/ss termies punch you in the gob in hte first turn.)
10 assault marines with power fist and melta bombs (join shrike, scouting unit)
ironclad dread, basic set up with forge world dred pod (more points, no weapons, can assault out of it, drop down and punch something.)
and i know i know that forge world stuff is with the other persons ok first. in my gaming club people use FW rules quite alot so i will no be a problem. if it is ill swarp the storm bolter for a heavy flamer and give both scout units melta bombs. that makes the points up nicely.
i know its not subtle but this is a 'counts as' alpha legion army that has popped up out of the darkness ect ect. the scouts are to be nutter cultists, running at you and being a batty mush.
if i dont get first turn i wont deploy anything, i have enough infiltrating units to come on the flanks and be a pain in the arse, also i dont think fleeting termies coming from a land raider will have much trouble getting into assault.
so what do you guys think? competitive? i would like to use this in tournaments when they come up and i dont want my arse handed to me over and over again. tad sick of that.
thanks in advance.
Just realised I have 20 points to spend. So, both scout squads have bombs, the dred had a heavy flamer and metla... And I'll find a use for the other 5 points...
